1. PM Modi unveiled the PM-SHRI program, which will upgrade 14,500 schools.
◉ PM Narendra Modi unveiled the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
This will be a brand-new, centrally sponsored program for the development and improvement of more than 14500 schools nationwide.
◉ The PM-SHRI schools will use a cutting-edge, transformative, and all-encompassing approach to educating students.
The focus will be on learning- and discovery-centered approach to teaching.
2. Unveiling of Unit-I of Maitree Super Thermal Power Project
◉ The Maitree Super Thermal Power Project’s Unit-I was officially unveiled by PM Narendra Modi and PM Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh.
◉ The project is being constructed under India’s concessional financing system. The National Grid of Bangladesh will get 1320 MW as a result.
◉ Following the negotiations, seven agreements were exchanged, including ones on water resources, railroads, science and technology, and space technology.
◉ Included in this is an MoU on broadcasting collaboration between Prasar Bharati and Bangladesh Television.
3. Tripura establishes the first bio-village in India.

4. Bharat Biotech’s first intranasal COVID vaccine is approved by the DCGI.
◉ The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) approved Bharat Biotech’s first intranasal Covid vaccine for primary vaccination against the injection for adults over the age of 18. It is the first nasal COVID-19 vaccine produced in India.
◉ Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, described the vaccination as a “Big Boost” for India’s COVID-19 defence. ◉ The developer of vaccines for infectious diseases and a world leader in vaccine creation is Bharat Biotech International Limited (BBIL). The development of the intranasal COVID vaccine (BBV154) has been licensed for limited use in an emergency, according to a BBIL announcement.
5. India and Bangladesh agreed to share water resources.
◉ An interim water-sharing agreement for the Kushiyara River has been struck by India and Bangladesh.
◉ Since the 1996 signing of the Ganga water deal, this agreement has not been made before.
◉ People who live in southern Assam and the Bangladeshi division of Sylhet will profit from this agreement.
◉ There are 230 rivers in all of Bangladesh, and 54 of them pass through India.

6. On Google Cloud, HDFC ERGO will develop an online insurance platform.
◉ To create an online platform for selling insurance, HDFC ERGO General Insurance has collaborated with Google Cloud.

7. Sanjay Verma has been appointed as India’s new high commissioner to Canada.
◉ Sanjay Kumar Verma, a seasoned diplomat, has been named as India’s new high commissioner to Canada.
◉ He is the Indian ambassador to Japan and a member of the Indian Foreign Service’s 1988 batch.
◉ He has also held the position of India’s general consul in Milan, Italy.
◉ Amit Kumar, who serves as India’s consul general in Chicago, has been nominated to serve as the country’s next ambassador.

8. Tanikella Bharani received the Lok Nayak Foundation Sahitya Puraskar award.
◉ At a ceremony conducted at Kalabharathi Auditorium in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, writer, and actor Tanikella Bharani was awarded the annual Sahitya Puraskar of the Loknayak Foundation (18th Loknayak Foundation Award).

9. Five PSLV rockets will be built by HAL and L&T
◉ Five rockets will be built by a consortium consisting of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Larsen & Toubro, and New Space India Limited for a total of Rs 860 crore.
