1. Under the “Panchamrut Yojana,” the UP government intends to double farmers’ income.
◉ According to a statement from the government of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s “Panchamrut Yojana” will support the promotion of co-cropping and the implementation of cost-effective technical methods in order to double farmers’ incomes.
◉ The government will also give out “Uttam Sugarcane Farmer” awards to farmers who follow the Panchamrut plan and are successful in increasing both the production of their land and their revenue. To lower the cost of farming and increase income, the Uttar Pradesh government encourages farmers to embrace modern farming methods.
2. The Goa CM declared that starting with the following academic year, higher education would use 100% NEP.
◉ According to the National Education Policy, 100% of the curriculum in higher education institutions will be implemented, according to Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.

7. Kalaiselvi is appointed as the CSIR’s first female director general.
◉ Nallathamby Kalaiselvi, a senior electrochemical scientist, was appointed as the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research’s first female director general (CSIR).

8. Indian-American crowned Aarya Walvekar as Miss India USA 2022
◉ Aarya Walvekar, an Indian American from Virginia, was named Miss India USA in 2022 in New Jersey. The first, runner-up was University of Virginia second-year premedical student Saumya Sharma, and the second runner-up was Sanjana Chekuri of New Jersey.
◉ The longest-running Indian pageant outside of India celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Dharmatma and Neelam Saran, two Indian-Americans residing in New York, founded it under the name Worldwide Pageants.

9. V Pranav, a young chess prodigy, becomes India’s 75th Grandmaster.
◉ By winning a competition in Romania, the chess prodigy from Chennai, V Pranav, became the 75th Grandmaster of India.
◉ Pranav, who resides in Chennai, won the Limpedea Open in Baia Mare, Romania, earning his third and final GM norm and becoming a Grandmaster.
◉ In addition to the famous Viswanathan Anand and teenage sensations D Gukesh and R Praggnanandhaa, Pranav is the 27th Grandmaster from Tamil Nadu.
10. Women’s singles badminton gold medalist PV Sindhu represented the CWG 2022.

11. Annu Rani won a historical bronze medal in the women’s javelin throw at CWG 2022.
