1. A Jharkhand power facility will provide electricity to Bangladesh.
◉ Nasrul Hamid, the minister for Bangladesh, has announced that starting in the first week of March 2023, Bangladesh will begin getting electricity from the Godda power plant in Jharkhand.
◉ According to Nasrul Hamid, the first unit of the Adani power plant in Godda will produce 750 megawatts of electricity in March 2023.
◉ In April 2023, the second unit of the Godda power plant will produce an additional 750 megawatts of electricity.
◉ The Adani company and the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) signed a contract to allow the import of energy from Godda, a plant in Jharkhand.
2. IIT Madras and ISRO entered into an agreement to create an astronaut training module.
◉ In order to create training modules for the Indian Spaceflight Program using augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and IIT Madras have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
◉ The eXperiential Technology Innovation Centre (XTIC) at IIT Madras developed cutting-edge technologies that the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) would use to further research and development (R&D) in the area of extended reality, in accordance with the collaboration’s guidelines.
3. In Mumbai, the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival starts.
◉ In Mumbai, Maharashtra, the 23rd Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has started.
◉ The Kala Ghoda Association is hosting the nine-day festival, which will feature a diverse range of events in over 14 genres, including dance, music, literature, theatre, food, film, stand-up comedy, street art, urban design, and architecture.
◉ It is a yearly celebration that takes place in the Kala Ghoda neighborhood of South Mumbai, India. It always starts on the first Saturday in February and ends on the second Sunday.

4. Telangana is home to India’s first new mobility-focused cluster.
◉ The Telangana government has established Telangana Mobility Valley, the nation’s first new mobility-focused cluster (TMV).
◉ In the next five years, it hopes to bring in investments worth over Rs 50,000 crore and create more than 4 lakh employment in the state.
◉ TMV intends to support businesses in all areas of sustainable mobility, including Tier 1 and Tier 2 component producers, Electric 2Wheelers, 3Wheelers, and 4Wheelers, Advanced Cell Chemistry and Hydrogen fuel cells, and Auto Engineering R&D firms, among others.
5. Reliance releases India’s first heavy-duty hydrogen combustion engine
◉ The nation’s first heavy-duty vehicle technology using a hydrogen internal combustion engine has been unveiled by Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).
◉ At the India Energy Week in Bangalore, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the opening remarks.
◉ The vehicles driven by hydrogen internal combustion engines (H2ICE) will produce almost no pollutants, have performance comparable to that of regular diesel trucks, and produce less noise with anticipated operating cost savings, redefining the future of green mobility.
6. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban plan is extended by the Union government to 2024.
◉ The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) programme has been extended beyond 2024, according to an announcement made by Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri.
◉ Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U), around 123 lakh homes were approved during the previous fiscal year, of which 68 lakh homes were finished and delivered as of last month.
◉ 1.36 lakh crore of the two lakh crore rupees the Center sanctioned for the program have been distributed thus far.

7. The repo rate was raised by the RBI to 6.5 percent by 0.25 percent.
◉ In order to curb inflation, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) raised the policy repo rate by 0.25 percent during the bimonthly monetary policy review.
