1. Amit Shah inaugurates the National Tribal Research Institute in New Delhi.
◉ The newly erected National Tribal Research Institute (NTRI) in New Delhi was inaugurated by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.
◉ This institute’s mission is to promote and preserve tribal tradition and culture, as well as to act as the nerve centre for tribal research concerns and issues in the academic, executive, and legislative domains.
◉ The Tribal Research Institute (TRI) is the state’s research arm of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs supports a total of 26 Tribal Research Institutes (TRIs).
