1. For 26 nations, India and the UK organize a large-scale “Cyber Security Exercise.”
◉ The UK Government, the National Security Council Secretariat of India, and BAE Systems (British Aerospace) successfully planned and carried out the “Cyber Security Exercise” for 26 nations.
◉ The goal of the virtual Cyber Exercise on Ransomware Resilience was to simulate a significant, nationally distributed cyber security incident affecting enterprises.
◉ Under the direction of the National Cyber Security Coordinator, the exercise was conducted as part of the International Counter Ransomware Initiative-Resilience Working Group (NCSC).
2. In Gujarat, Sterlite Power inaugurated 400KV transmission lines.
◉ Gujarat’s 400kV Banaskantha, Kansari, and Vadavi Transmission Lines have been put into service by Sterlite Power’s Mumbai Urja Marg Transmission Ltd (MUML).
◉ Around 1000 MW of renewable energy will be transported to the national grid via the high voltage transmission line from the pooling station at Bhuj in northern Gujarat.
◉ The state’s current transmission capacity will increase, going from 9300 MW to 11200 MW.
3. Adani Group will invest $70 billion to construct three gigafactories.
◉ Adani Group’s $70 billion investment in clean energy by 2030 includes the construction of three Giga plants to produce solar panels, wind turbines, and hydrogen electrolyzers.
◉ In addition to the 20 GW of current renewable energy capacity already produced by the Adani Group, the plants will produce 3 million tonnes of hydrogen by 2030.

6. Suella Braverman, a new Indian-origin home secretary of the UK

◉ Suella Braverman, a 42-year-old member of the Conservative Party from Fareham in southeast England, served as attorney general during the Boris Johnson administration.
◉ Suella Braverman finished her legal studies at Heathfield School in London before enrolling at Queens College in Cambridge. Suella Braverman graduated with a master’s degree in European and French law from the Pantheon-Sorbonne University of Paris and then received legal admission to practise in New York.

7. RBI chose HDFC Bank & Precision for the test phase of retail payments.
◉ According to the RBI, under its “On Tap” application facility for the theme “Retail Payments” under Regulatory Sandbox, HDFC Bank (in collaboration with Sweden-based Crunchfish Aktiebolag) and Precision ◉ Biometric India Pvt. Ltd. have been chosen for the “Test Phase” for their respective “Offline Retail Payments” and “InnaIT Key Solution for Banking” products.
◉ Customers and businesses can make and receive payments offline thanks to the HDFC Bank feature called “Offline Retail Payments.”
◉ By allowing transactions without a network connection, the solution hopes to increase the uptake of digital payments in places with little or no network coverage.
8. ONDC and IDFC First Bank collaborated on a buy-side and sell-side application.
◉ To encourage early adoption of the network among its clients, IDFC First Bank has teamed with Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC).
◉ Additionally, the Bank has begun integrating current account holders with small businesses onto an ONDC-registered partner app. The app is anticipated to assist small business owners in conducting transactions over ONDC’s electronic network and expanding their online presence.
◉ In order to democratise e-commerce, ONDC, a section 8 firm, will change the industry from a platform-centric paradigm to an open network approach, much like the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) for payments.

◉ The NASA Perseverance rover and Mars 2020 mission’s Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment, or MOXIE, have been creating oxygen from the Red Planet’s carbon-dioxide-rich atmosphere since April 2021, or about two months after it arrived on the Martian surface.
