2. Tripura wins an award for having the best e-procurement performance in the northeast.

◉ The honor was given during a National Workshop on e-Procurement held at the India Habitat Center in New Delhi in March 2023 and sponsored by the Union Ministries of Finance and Electronic and Information Technologies.

5. Tianlong-2 Rocket Successfully Launched Into Orbit by Chinese Firm Space Pioneer
◉ By launching its Tianlong-2 rocket into orbit on April 2 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Facility in Inner Mongolia, the Chinese space research corporation Space Pioneer made history in the field of space travel.
◉ This is the first time a Chinese aerospace company has launched a liquid-fueled rocket into orbit, and it is also the first instance of a startup company reaching orbit successfully on its first try.
◉ Beijing Tianbing Technology has used the Tianlong-2 rocket, also known as “Sky Dragon-2,” to launch a small satellite called “Love Space Science” into a polar orbit around the planet. From this sun-synchronous orbit, the spacecraft will test its remote sensing capabilities.

◉ The platform for Regulation Application, Validation, And Authorization, or “PRAVAAH,” is a new, secure web-based portal that RBI plans to launch with the intention of streamlining and expediting the application processes.
◉ The portal would make it easier for regulated firms to conduct business with RBI and increase the efficiency of regulatory processes by displaying the timelines for decisions on applications and approvals.

7. Indian Rafale will take part in a military drill with NATO allies in France.
◉ Rafale fighter jets from the Indian Air Force will take part in a military drill in France with hundreds of NATO soldiers.
◉ The jets are scheduled to arrive in France in the middle of April to take part in Orion 23, a sizable wargame with a variety of components, including ground forces, warships, aircraft carriers, and combat aircraft.
◉ The purpose of the exercise, which started in February and will end in early May, is to improve military collaboration and interoperability among participating nations.

8. India’s first solar-powered tourist boat is unveiled by KSINC.
◉ The Kerala State Inland Navigation Company (KSINC) has introduced the Sooryamshu, a tourist boat powered by solar energy and capable of producing 27 KW of power.
◉ Moreover, the boat has generators that will power the air conditioning and passenger lift systems.
◉ About 75% of the energy requirements of the ship will be fulfilled by the solar panels, and the remaining 25% by the generators.
◉ The boat cost Rs. 3.95 crores to construct in Sri Lanka.
