1. Under the “Mukhyamantri Muft Sewer Connection Yojana,” the Delhi government would grant free sewer connections.
◉ The ‘Mukhyamantri Muft Sewer Connection Yojana’ would provide free sewer connections to 25,000 homes in East Delhi.
◉ The Delhi government will provide free sewer connections to 12 colonies in Mustafabad and Karawal Nagar.
2. The government of Tamil Nadu has proposed a breakfast program for primary school kids.
◉ MK Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, has stated that on all working days, all government primary school pupils in grades 1 to 5 will receive a nutritious breakfast.
◉ Tamil Nadu will be the first state to serve breakfast alongside midday meals. Within the Corporation and Municipal bounds, this includes the opening of integrated urban health centers.
3. Priyanka Mohite is the first Indian woman to summit five peaks over 8,000 meters.
◉ On May 5, 2022, Priyanka Mohite became the first Indian woman to climb five peaks above 8,000 meters (m) when she ascended Mount Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), which is located in the eastern Himalayas on the boundary between Sikkim state in north-eastern India and eastern Nepal.
◉ She ascended Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain, in 2013. (8,849 m). She ascended Mount Makalu (8,485 meters), the world’s fifth highest mountain, and Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters) in Tanzania, Africa, in 2016.
4. Cluster-Based Business Organizations (CBBOs) Conference in Jaipur
◉ At Birla Auditorium in New Delhi, Union Minister Kailash Choudhary launched the Conference of Cluster-Based Business Organizations (CBBOs) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) under the Scheme of Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs.
◉ The Indian government created a new scheme called “Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Produce Organizations (FPOs),” which was publicly inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 29, 2020, in Chitrakoot (Uttar Pradesh) with a financial allocation of 6865 crores.

5. Mt. Everest was ascended for the record 26th time by Kami Rita.
◉ Sherpa from Nepal Kami Rita has climbed Mount Everest (Height: 8,848.86m) for the 26th time, leading a team of 10 Sherpas up the usual southeast ridge route.
◉ On May 13, 1994, Rita became the first woman to summit Mt. Everest. He has also climbed Mt Godwin-Austen (K2), Mt Lhotse, Mt Manaslu, and Mt Cho Oyu in addition to Mt Everest. He also holds the record for the most 8000m climbs.

6. ‘E-Broking,’ a digital broking solution from Indian Bank, was launched.
◉Indian Bank, a public sector bank, has launched its ‘E-Broking’ digital broking solution as part of a deliberate strategy to digitalize all of its customer offerings.
◉The bank’s mobile banking app, IndOASIS, now offers E-Broking, a quick and paperless Demat, and a trading account opening option.
7. Reliance became the first Indian firm to reach a revenue of $100 billion.
◉Reliance Industries has become the first Indian business to surpass $100 billion in yearly revenue. For the quarter ending March 2022, the company’s net profit increased by 22.5 percent.
◉Retail, internet services, and the oil and gas business have all seen significant growth at Reliance. In addition, the company announced the greatest quarterly EBITDA (profits before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) of 33,968 crores (up 28 percent) year on year.

◉After receiving clearance from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the City Union Bank Limited has selected M Narayanan as its part-time Chairman, effective May 4, 2022.
◉M Narayanan succeeds part-time Chairman R Mohan, who resigned from the position of Chairman of the Board on May 3, 2022, after serving a three-year tenure.
9. HPCL has appointed Pushp Kumar Joshi as Chairman and Managing Director.
◉Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd’s new chairman and managing director are Pushp Kumar Joshi. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd is India’s third-largest oil refining and fuel marketing firm (HPCL).
◉Dr Joshi had been Director-HR of the Corporation since August 1, 2012, according to the firm. Joshi, the HPCL board’s most senior director, was chosen by the government headhunter PESB to replace Mukesh Kumar Surana in January.

◉He was tied for silver with Oleksii Lazebnyk of Ukraine before earning gold in a shoot-off. At the 24th Deaflympics, India won four medals in the shooting competition.
12. Carlos Alcaraz won the men’s singles title in the 2022 Madrid Open.

◉Rajat Kumar Kar, an acclaimed Odia poet, died of heart problems. In 2021, he was awarded the Padma Shri for his contributions to literature and education.
