1. Gujarat has unveiled a new IT/ITeS policy aimed at creating 1 lakh jobs.
- Gujarat’s Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel, has launched a new five-year IT/ITeS policy.
- The IT/ITeS strategy will offer financial incentives of up to Rs 200 crore to companies willing to invest in technology. It will also employ roughly 1 lakh young people.
2. UNEP and Maharashtra have struck an agreement to assist the ‘Majhi Vasundhara’ campaign.
- The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Maharashtra government have inked an agreement to promote the Maharashtra government’s ‘Majhi Vasundhara’ campaign.
- It is a project aimed at promoting energy efficiency and environmental development. ‘My Earth’ is the precise translation of ‘Majhi Vasundhara.’ It is a Maharashtra government effort led by the Department of Environment and Climate Change.
3. Under the SAMRIDH programme, AIM, NITI Aayog, and USAID have launched cooperation.

- He has risen to the tenth richest person on the planet after an almost $12 billion increase in his personal wealth.
6. L&T and Microsoft India have inked a memorandum of understanding to establish a regulated sector-focused cloud product.
- Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) and Microsoft India have agreed to collaborate on the development of a regulated sector-focused cloud product that would provide customers with best-of-breed cloud computing and infrastructure services.
- The goal is to transition traditional data centres to a hybrid cloud architecture.

7. With a budget of Rs 4,600 crores, the PMKSY scheme has been extended through FY26.
- The Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY), the Ministry of Food Processing Industries’ flagship scheme, has been extended from 2021-2022 to 2025-2026. (till March 2026).
- The Indian government has set aside Rs 4600 crores for the project. With a budget of Rs 6000 crore, the Government of India established the Scheme for Agro-Marine Processing and Development of Agro-Processing Clusters (SAMPADA) in 2017.
8. Since its start in FY 2020-21, the PM CARES Fund has received a total of Rs 10,990 crores and has spent Rs 3,976 crores.
- According to the latest audited account of PM CARES Funds, the overall corpus of the fund in 2020-21 was Rs 10,990.17 crore, with Rs 3,976.17 crore spent from the fund.
- The Fund had an unspent balance of Rs 7,013.99 crore as of March 31, 2021. A portion of the funds were utilised to purchase medical equipment, such as ventilators, to aid in the fight against COVID-19, as well as to provide relief to migrants.

- Aim: To build infrastructure for the leather industry, address environmental challenges unique to the industry, and encourage more investments, job creation, and production growth.

- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has prolonged the limitations on Millath Co-Operative Bank in Devangere, Karnataka, by three months, from February 8 to May 7, 2022.

15. R Rajamohan, an astronomer who led the first asteroid discoveries in independent India, died.
- Professor R Rajamohan died after a long career as an astronomer at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) in Bengaluru.
- He is well known for the Kalki Project, which used the 48-cm Schmidt telescope in Kavalur VBO to discover asteroids and discovered a new asteroid, number 4130, from India. This is India’s first asteroid discovery in 104 years.
