OPSC ASO Recruitment Exam Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- A candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university in any discipline. In addition, the candidate must be well-versed in computer applications.
- The candidate must be able to read, write, and speak Odia proficiently, as well as have passed an Odia language course in middle school.
Age Limit
- As of January 1, 2021, the applicant must be at least 21 years old and not more than 32 years old. In other words, applicants must have been born between the dates of January 2, 1989, and January 1, 2000. According to government regulations, reserved category candidates would be granted age relaxation.

How to Apply for OPSC ASO Recruitment Exam Online
Follow the steps given below to complete the OPSC ASO Recruitment application.
Step 1: To apply for the OPSC ASO Recruitment, you must first go to the OPSC’s official website, which is @opsc.gov.in.
Step 2: After visiting the OPSC official website, you will see an option to APPLY ONLINE, which you should select.
Step 3: After selecting the aforementioned option, you will be sent to a website with a tab labeled “Advertisement No. – Advt. No. 26 of 2021-2022.” Under this touch, you’ll see a New User option, which you should select.
Step 4: After selecting the aforementioned option, you will be led to the instruction page, where you will find the option to Proceed to Registration at the bottom of the page.
Step 5: After selecting the above option, you will be brought to a new page where you will be requested to fill out and upload the appropriate credentials and documents. Fill out the credentials and upload the documents, then submit your application.
Step 6: Don’t forget to print the application after you’ve finished it.
OPSC ASO Selection Process
According to the recruiting pattern, candidates had to pass two phases in order to be selected for the post of Assistant Section Officer by OPSC.
Stage 1: OPSC ASO Written Examination (MCQs)
The written examination was Stage I of the OPSC ASO selection process. This level was divided into three exams, Paper I, Paper-II, and Paper III, which assessed applicants’ knowledge of general awareness, reasoning, and mental ability, as well as mathematics, English, and Odia languages.
Stage 2: OPSC ASO Skill Test in Computer Applications (Practical)
This was the last stage of the OPSC ASO recruitment selection procedure. The skill test will be held for all candidates who were shortlisted in the written examination. Candidates’ understanding of computer applications will be checked at this stage. This stage is qualifying in nature, and to pass it, you must receive 40% of the total scores in the skill exam.
Note: The commission has the authority to set the qualifying marks for any or all of the examination subjects.
