1. India’s Fortune in 2022 The list of the next 500 people is as follows: RailTel came in at number 124.
◉ The Indian Railways, Ministry of Railways, owns RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel), which is rated 124th in the 8th Edition. India’s Fortune The Next 500 (2022 edition) is a list of India’s top midsize firms.
◉ It is the only Government of India (GoI) Telecom Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) on the list. In the list of top midsize enterprises operating in India for 2021, it was rated 197.
2. ‘Indrayani Medicity,’ India’s first medical city, will be built in Pune, Maharashtra.
◉ The Maharashtra government has announced plans to build India’s first medical city in Pune, dubbed ‘Indrayani Medicity,’ to provide all types of specialist treatment under one roof.
◉ It will be built on 300 acres of land in Pune’s Khed taluka. It is expected to bring in Rs 10,000 crores in investment.

5. India’s first GI-tagged Kashmir carpets are being shipped to Germany.
◉ To maintain the authenticity and validity of the hand-knotted carpets, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has created a rapid response (QR) code for its GI-tagged Kashmiri carpet.
◉ The major goal of the QR Code affixed to the GI tag is to aid in the revival of the Kashmiri carpet industry’s gloss and splendor.
◉ On March 11, 2022, the first-ever cargo of GI-tagged hand-knotted carpets was shipped from New Delhi to Germany.

6. ICICI Bank will purchase a 5% stake in NARCL.
◉ ICICI Bank is planning to buy a 5% share in National Asset Reconstruction Company Limited (NARCL) for a total cash payment of up to Rs 137.5 crore in three installments.
◉ The equity investment would be made in stages, with the first tranche being Rs 70.45 crore. The project is planned to be finished by March 31, 2022.
7. LivQuik has become the first PPI issuer to comply with the RBI’s PPI Interoperability Guidelines.
◉ The issuer of a Prepaid Payment Instrument (PPI) LivQuik is the first Prepaid Payment Instrument (PPI) issuer to achieve full interoperability for its PPIs, as stipulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
◉ The regulator also increased the maximum outstanding balance in PPIs from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, as well as allowed cash withdrawals through full-KYC non-bank wallets.
8. Bank of India has engaged in a co-lending agreement with IKF Finance in Vijayawada to provide commercial vehicle loans.
