1. For the second time, Pushkar Singh Dhami was sworn in as Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
◉ Pushkar Singh Dhami, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was sworn in as Chief Minister of Uttarakhand for the second time at the Parade Ground in Dehradun. A total of eight cabinet ministers were also sworn in with him.
◉ The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor Lieutenant-General Gurmit Singh. Under Dhami’s leadership, the BJP contested the Assembly elections and won 47 seats, securing a strong majority in the 70-member House.
2. Kerala was the first state to implement carbon-neutral farming practices.
◉ Kerala was the first Indian state to implement carbon-neutral farming practices in a few regions in order to improve soil health. In its Budget 2022-23, the Kerala government set aside 6 crores for the implementation of carbon-neutral farming technologies in the state.
◉ The Agriculture Department will implement carbon-neutral farming in 13 farms, including tribal areas, in the first phase, and preparations have also been taken to transform the State Seed Farm in Aluva into a carbon-neutral farm.

6. People’s Co-operative Bank Ltd had its license revoked by the Reserve Bank of India.
◉ The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has revoked the license of People’s Co-operative Bank Limited in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, after the bank failed to comply with Sections 22(3)(a), 22(3)(b), 22(3)(c), 22(3)(d), and 22(3)(e) of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
◉ Under the terms of Section 11(1) and Section 22 (3) (d) of Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 – ‘Act to apply to co-operative societies subject to changes,’ the bank is judged to lack appropriate capital and earning possibilities.

7. NITI Aayog honored 75 women during the 5th Women Transforming India Awards.
◉ The 5th edition of the Women Transforming India Awards was hosted by the NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) (WTI).
◉ The WTI Awards were presented to 75 women achievers as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, which commemorated India’s 75th year of independence.

◉ Soumeylou Boubeye Maiga, the former Prime Minister of Mali, died at the age of 67 in Bamako, Mali. He was the Prime Minister of Mali for two years (2017- 2019).
◉ Soumeylou Boubeye Maiga was born on 8 June 1954 in Gao, Mali. In Mali, he was the leader of the Alliance for Solidarity. He was trained as a journalist and was named director of intelligence services by President Alpha Oumar Konaré in the 1990s.
