1. The government of Uttar Pradesh has launched the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ initiative.
◉ Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has initiated the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ to ensure that all elementary and upper primary schools in the state are fully enrolled.
◉ The state government, according to an official declaration, will work to determine the future of primary education and the holistic growth of elementary schools.
2. During an emergency, the Tamil Nadu government launched the ‘Kaaval Uthavi’ app for the people.
◉ M K Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has unveiled the ‘Kaaval Uthavi’ app, which allows civilians to request police help in an emergency.
◉ The app has sixty functionalities that can be utilized to send a police control room an emergency alert.

4. Serbian President Aleksandar Vui has been re-elected.
◉ President of Serbia Aleksandar Vui has been re-elected. Zdravko Ponos, a retired army commander, represented the pro-European and moderate Alliance for Victory alliance.

5. SBI and BSF have struck an agreement to provide unique advantages through the CAPSP Scheme.
◉ The State Bank of India (SBI) and the Border Security Force have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide additional advantages through the Central Armed Police Salary Package (CAPSP) Scheme.
◉ The Memorandum of Understanding would fund child education and the marriage of deceased BSF personnel’s daughters. Regardless of age, retired soldiers will be eligible for free Personal Accidental (Death) Insurance, while family pensioners would be eligible for a variety of benefits.
6. India’s economy is expected to rise 7.5 percent in FY2022, and 8 percent in FY2023, according to the Asian Development Bank.
◉ According to the Asian Development Bank (ADB), India’s economy will increase by 7.5 percent in FY2022 and 8% in FY2023.
◉ The projection was included in the Asian Development Outlook (ADO) 2022, the most recent edition of the Asian Development Bank’s flagship economic report. FY2022 refers to the fiscal year that ends on March 31, 2023.
7. Canara Bank, SBI, PNB, and Union Bank each cut their shareholding in IDRCL to 5%.
◉ The four public sector banks of India, State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank, and Union Bank of India, have each cut their ownership in India Debt Resolution Company Ltd (IDRCL) to 5%.
◉ Canara Bank’s equity investment has been cut to 5% from its previous ownership of 14.90% following the current round of preferential allotment by IDRCL.
