1. The Ayushman Bharat-Health & Wellness Centre Scheme celebrated its fourth year.
◉ From April 16 to April 22, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya hosted an “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” to commemorate the fourth anniversary of Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs).
◉ The first AB-HWC was inaugurated on April 14, 2018, in Jangla, a peaceful village in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
2. At Shinku La Pass, BRO will build the world’s highest tunnel, connecting Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh.
◉ The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) will construct the world’s highest tunnel at Shinku La Pass, which will connect Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh at a height of 16,580 feet.
◉ Construction is expected to begin in July of the current year and be completed in 2025. The Centre has already established BRO’s ‘Endeavor Yojak’ to carry out this enormous project.

3. Landslides and floods wreaked havoc in the Philippines during Tropical Storm Megi.
◉ In the Philippines, Tropical Storm Megi wreaked devastation, killing at least 167 people in landslides and floods. Another 110 individuals are missing, according to the national disaster organization, and 1.9 million people have been affected.
◉ The towns surrounding Baybay city in central Leyte province were devastated by hillside avalanches and overflowing rivers.
4. The World Bank lowered its 2022 global growth prediction from 4.1 percent to 3.2 percent.

◉ 121 Finance, based in Jaipur, has received the Certificate of Registration (CoR) under the Reserve Bank’s Registration of Factors (Reserve Bank) Regulations 2022, making it India’s first fintech-led NBFC-Factor.
◉ It is the first non-bank financial company (NBFC) to change from an Investment and Credit Company (ICC) to an NBFC-Factor.

9. Bimal Kothari has been named as the new Chairman of the India Pulses and Grains Association (IPGA),
