1. Tripura and NIXI-CSC have signed an agreement to establish an International Data Centre.
◉ The Tripura government has signed an MoU with NIXI-CSC Data Services Centre, a joint venture between the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) and CSE e-governance services Ltd, to create an international standard Data Centre in Indranagar, Tripura’s IT Bhavan headquarters.
◉ The NIXI-CSC Data Services Centre will oversee the operation of the data center. For the Data Centre, the joint venture company will invest Rs 150 crore, while the state government will just give space.
2. The Karnataka State Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, has approved the proposal to name the under-construction Shivamogga airport after former Chief Minister Bookanakere Siddalingappa Yediyurappa. The proposal will now be sent to the Union Civil Aviation Ministry for further clearance.
◉ On the outskirts of Bengaluru, at Sogane, the Shivamogga airport is being built. The development of the airport is expected to cost Rs 384 crore.
3. Rajasthan was the first state to deploy an L-Route server.
◉ Rajasthan is the first state in India to install an L-Route server to ensure continuous Internet access.
◉ The new facility was created in partnership with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers and is located at the Bhamashah State Data Centre in Rajasthan (ICANN).

4. Sri Lanka will receive an additional $500 million in fuel assistance from India.
◉ In response to Sri Lanka’s greatest financial crisis, India will contribute an additional $500 million in financial support to help the country buy fuel.
◉ This is the second time India has extended a $500 million gasoline credit to the Sri Lankan government.
◉ After a shipment of 120,000 tonnes of diesel and 40,000 tonnes of gasoline earlier this month, the first line of credit was exhausted. India has supplied approximately 400,000 tonnes of petroleum so far.
5. Ivory Coast’s Prime Minister, Patrick Achi, has been re-elected.
◉ President Alassane Ouattara has re-appointed Patrick Achi as Prime Minister of the Ivory Coast. In March 2021, he was named Prime Minister.
◉ After Amadou Gon Coulibaly (who died in 2020) and Hamed Bakayoko, he was the third prime minister of the West African state (Ivory Coast) in the last three years (who died in 2021).

6. Dhanlaxmi Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the CBDT and the CBIC for the collection of direct and indirect taxes.
◉ For the collection of Direct Taxes and Indirect Taxes, Dhanlaxmi Bank has signed an MoU with the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).
◉ Based on a proposal by the Controller General of Accounts, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has permitted the Bank to collect different taxes.
7. For Fintech Start-Ups, India Post Payments Bank has established “Fincluvation.”
◉ The India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Department of Posts (DoP), has launched Fincluvation, a cooperative endeavor with the Fintech Startup community to co-create and innovate financial inclusion solutions.
◉ Start-ups will be asked to participate in this project, where they will be encouraged to come up with innovative ideas for products and services that can be supplied to customers, develop them, and market them.
