1. Bihar has the greatest gold deposits in India.
◉ According to a report conducted by the Geological Survey of India, the Jamui district of Bihar has a gold deposit of roughly 88 million tonnes, including 27.6 tonnes of mineral-rich ore.
◉ According to the report, gold may be found in the Jamui district’s Karmatia, Jhajha, and Sono.
◉ Bihar has 222.885 million tonnes of a gold metal, accounting for 44% of the country’s total gold reserves.
2. On May 30, the PM will release rewards under the PM CARES for Children Scheme.
◉ On May 30, 2022, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced incentives under the PM CARES for Children Scheme.
◉ Scholarships were distributed by the Prime Minister to school-aged students.

6. In FY22, the United States overtakes China as India’s largest trading partner.
◉ In 2021-22, the United States eclipsed China as India’s biggest trading partner.
◉ In 2020-21, bilateral trade between the United States and India was $119.42 billion, up from $80.51 billion in 2020-21.
◉ Exports to the United States climbed to $76.11 billion in the fiscal year 2021-22, up from $51.62 billion the previous year. Imports also increased to $43.31 billion, up from almost $29 billion in 2020-21.

◉ India won its first-ever medal in the IBSA Judo Grand Prix in Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan.
◉ Judoka Kapil Parmar of the Indian Blind and Para Judo Association deserves special recognition for bringing medals to the country. It’s worth mentioning that 18 of the 21 competing countries took home medals.

◉ Bujar Nishani, a former Albanian President, died of a health ailment at the age of 55. President Bujar Nishani, who was born in Durrs, Albania, on September 29, 1966, was noted for his centrist political affiliation with the communist coalition.
