1. Bihar has the greatest gold deposits in India.
◉ According to a report conducted by the Geological Survey of India, the Jamui district of Bihar has a gold deposit of roughly 88 million tonnes, including 27.6 tonnes of mineral-rich ore.
◉ According to the report, gold may be found in the Jamui district’s Karmatia, Jhajha, and Sono.
◉ Bihar has 222.885 million tonnes of a gold metal, accounting for 44% of the country’s total gold reserves.
2. On May 30, the PM will release rewards under the PM CARES for Children Scheme.
◉ On May 30, 2022, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced incentives under the PM CARES for Children Scheme.
◉ Scholarships were distributed by the Prime Minister to school-aged students.
◉ During the program, the children were given a PM CARES for Children passbook as well as a health card under the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

6. In FY22, the United States overtakes China as India’s largest trading partner.
◉ In 2021-22, the United States eclipsed China as India’s biggest trading partner.
◉ In 2020-21, bilateral trade between the United States and India was $119.42 billion, up from $80.51 billion in 2020-21.
◉ Exports to the United States climbed to $76.11 billion in the fiscal year 2021-22, up from $51.62 billion the previous year. Imports also increased to $43.31 billion, up from almost $29 billion in 2020-21.

11. At the IBSA Judo Grand Prix, India wins its first-ever medal.
◉ India won its first-ever medal in the IBSA Judo Grand Prix in Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan.
◉ Judoka Kapil Parmar of the Indian Blind and Para Judo Association deserves special recognition for bringing medals to the country. It’s worth mentioning that 18 of the 21 competing countries took home medals.
◉ As a result of these, several countries, notably Iraq, Switzerland, and India, received their first medals in the IBSA Grand Prix. Nur-Sultan has already established himself as a worldwide figure. The IBSA Grand Prix was held in this Kazakh city, and it was here that we saw the universality of nations come to life, as well as the struggle of winning any medal.
12. Sergio Perez of Red Bull won the 2022 Formula One Grand Prix of Monaco.
◉ Sergio Pérez (Mexico), a Red Bull racing driver, won the Formula 1 (F1) Grand Prix (GP) De Monaco 2022 with 25 points at the Circuit de Monaco in Monaco, Europe.
◉ The tournament was held from May 27 to May 29, 2022. Sergio Pérez becomes the first Mexican and the first North American to win the Monaco Grand Prix since Gilles Villeneuve in 1981 with this triumph.

12. Bujar Nishani, the former President of Albania, has died.
◉ Bujar Nishani, a former Albanian President, died of a health ailment at the age of 55. President Bujar Nishani, who was born in Durrs, Albania, on September 29, 1966, was noted for his centrist political affiliation with the communist coalition.
◉ From 2012 until 2017, he was the president of the United States. He was elected as the youngest and sixth president of post-communist Albania at the age of 45, with only parliamentarians from then-Prime Minister Sali Berisha’s center-right Democratic party supporting him.
