1. One Nation One Ration Card was put into effect in Assam, the 36th state.
◉ The “One Nation One Ration Card” (ONORC) Scheme is now being implemented by Assam as the 36th State.
◉ With ONORC, migratory workers will be able to conveniently access the discounted food grains to which they are entitled from any fair price retailer of their choosing throughout the nation.
2. Bishweswar Tudu, a tribal minister, opened the 20th and 13th Folk Fairs in Odisha.
◉ The 13th Krishi Fair and 20th Folk Fair 2022 at Saradhabali in Puri, Odisha, have been officially opened by the Minister of State for Tribal Affairs and Jal Shakti Bishweswar Tudu.
◉ The Minister has also offered the entire government’s assistance in uplifting the state’s tribes.

◉ Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Minister of Union Health and Family Welfare, virtually addressed the opening session of the G20 Health Ministers meeting in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
◉ Harmonizing global health protocol standards and strengthening the resilience of the global health system are priority challenges.
4. Imperial Hospital of Bangladesh and Apollo Hospital entered into a contract.
◉ The 375-bed multi-specialty tertiary care hospital in Chittagong, Bangladesh, is being operated and managed by Apollo Hospital under a contract signed with Imperial Hospital of Bangladesh.
◉ The World Bank helped to build the cutting-edge hospital in Chittagong, which will now be known as Apollo Imperial Hospital.
5. Australia gave Sri Lanka $50 million in financial assistance.
◉ Australia has declared that it will give Sri Lanka USD 50 million in assistance to tackle critical food and medical needs.
◉ In 2022–2023, Australia will give Sri Lanka 23 million dollars in development aid and 22 million dollars to the World Food Programme (WEP) for emergency food assistance to meet their daily nutritional needs.

◉ Legendary Australian cricketer Lisa Sthalekar has been elected as the Federation of International Cricketers’ Association’s first female president (FICA).
◉ At the FICA Executive Committee meeting held in Nyon, Switzerland, her appointment to the position was ratified.
◉ Between 2001 and 2013, Sthalekar represented Australia in 125 ODIs, 54 T20s, and 8 Tests. Her career culminated in a World Cup victory.
8. Senior Diplomat Ruchira Kamboj is appointed as India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations The ambassador and permanent representative of India to the UN has been named Ruchira Kamboj.
◉ She will take over for TS Murthi as India’s ambassador to the UN.

9. New Advanced Light Helicopter Squadron 840 CG is added to the Indian Coast Guard.
◉ The first helicopter of the recently formed 840 Squadron, the indigenously built and developed Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Mark III, has been admitted into the Eastern Region of the Indian Coast Guard.
◉ The new squadron will be based in Chennai, the Coast Guard’s Eastern Region headquarters.
Soon, “840 Squadron” will have three more ALHs in its fleet.

10. The Seismology Observatory in Udhampur was opened by Union Minister Jitendra Singh.
