1. Kerala’s Ahmedabad is listed among TIME’s top destinations for 2022.
◉ TIME magazine has included Kerala state and Ahmedabad city on its list of the “world’s greatest destinations of 2022.”
◉ They were included in the list of “50 remarkable places to discover.”
◉ One of India’s most picturesque states in Kerala. With magnificent beaches, verdant backwaters, temples, and palaces, it is no wonder that it is referred to as “God’s own land.”
2. Gujarat’s Gati Shakti University was approved by the Union Cabinet.
◉ The National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI) in Gujarat will now be known as Gati Shakti University thanks to approval from the Union Cabinet.
◉ This university would act as a center for transportation-related education, training, skill development, and research.
◉ This institution bears the name of the government’s premier National Master Plan for multimodal connectivity, “PM Gati Shakti.”

4. Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road’s new rail line was authorized by the Cabinet.
◉ The Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road new rail line in Gujarat and Rajasthan has been approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) to increase connectivity and mobility.
◉ This project is expected to cost Rs. 2798.16 crores and be finished in 2026–2027.
◉ The Ministry of Railways will build the new rail line, which will have a total length of 116.65 kilometers. During construction, the project will directly support around 40 lakh man-days of work.

5. The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced its Global Gender Gap Index for 2022, placing India at number 135 out of 146 nations, with Iceland taking the top spot. India placed 140th out of 156 nations in 2021.
◉ On a scale of 0 to 1, the nation received a score of 0.629, which ranks as its seventh-highest mark in the previous 16 years.
◉ India also does poorly among its neighbors, coming in last place after Bhutan (117), Bangladesh (71), Nepal (96), Sri Lanka (110), and Maldives (126).

6. Ola Financial Services was fined by the RBI for violating rules.
◉ Ola Financial Services Private Limited has been fined Rs 1.67 crore by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for failing to follow some rules pertaining to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPI) regulations.
◉ The fine was issued in accordance with the authority granted to the RBI under Section 30 of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act of 2007.
◉ This action is being taken due to regulatory compliance issues, and it is not meant to rule on the legality of any agreements or transactions that the organization has with its clients.
7. The partnership between RBL Bank and IMGC to provide mortgage-guaranteed house loans
◉ In order to provide mortgage guarantee-backed home loan products for salaried and non-salaried customers, India Mortgage Guarantee Corp. (IMGC) has teamed with RBL Bank.
◉ Through its network of more than 500 branches across the nation, RBL Bank will be able to offer mortgage guarantee-backed house loans to new borrower segments thanks to its relationship with IMGC.
◉ By assuring prompt housing credit disbursement and longer tenure for customers, the combined knowledge would contribute to the creation of a lending climate that is favorable for early house ownership.

9. The appointment of Mustafizur Rahman as Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to India
◉ Mustafizur Rahman has been chosen by the Bangladeshi government to serve as the country’s next high commissioner to India.
◉ He will take over as the new High Commissioner in place of Muhammad Imran.
◉ Currently, Mustafizur Rahman is both the Ambassador to Switzerland and the Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations Office in Geneva.
◉ He has also held the position of High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Singapore.

10. Chennai was the location of Agnikul Cosmos’ first rocket engine facility in India.
◉ Agnikul Cosmos, a startup in space technology, has opened the first factory ever to produce 3D-printed rocket engines in India in Chennai.
◉ The facility will construct 3D-printed rocket engines using additive manufacturing technologies and use these engines to power its own internal rockets.
◉ In the presence of Pawan Goenka, the chairman of IN-SPACe, it was unveiled by Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran and ISRO Chairman S Somanath (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre).
◉ IIT-Madras Research Park is home to the 10,000-square-foot building. A 400mm x 400mm x 400mm metal 3D printer from EOS will be installed, allowing for the whole manufacture of a rocket engine under one roof.
