1. The second wildlife sanctuary in Barak Valley has received sanction from the Assam government.
◉ With the approval of the Barak Bhuban Wildlife Sanctuary plan by Governor Jagdish Mukhi, Assam’s Barak Valley will soon have a second wildlife sanctuary.
◉ The Borail Wildlife Sanctuary is also located in the Barak Valley.
◉ The Governor of Assam is happy to announce its intention to establish the Barak Bhuban Wildlife Sanctuary in the region delineated in the Schedule attached hereto, in accordance with the authority granted by Section 35 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 as amended up to the present.
◉ Between the Sonai and Barak rivers, 320 square kilometers will make up the Barak Bhuban Wildlife Sanctuary.
2. The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh unveiled a program for free medical care.
◉ Deen Dayal Upadhyaya State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme is a program that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has introduced.
