1. Reliance Jio is the highest bidder for 5G, offering Rs 88,078 crore.
◉ Reliance Jio won India’s first auction of 5G spectrum, and the government collected a record amount of money from it: over Rs 1.5 lakh crore.
◉ Market leader Jio paid a staggering Rs 88,078 crore for 24,740 MHz of 5G airwaves, which may provide mobile internet speeds 10 times faster than 4G, adding nearly 59 percent to the overall budget.
2. TATA Steel is going to spend Rs. 3000 crores on creating seating for the new Vande Bharat trains.
◉ By FY26, Tata Group expects to have invested Rs 3,000 crore in research and development. Starting in September 2022, Vande Bharat Express trains will include a seating system that is “First in India.”
◉ By 2030, the steel-to-salt conglomerate hopes to rank among the top 5 technological companies worldwide in the steel sector.
◉ The Vande Bharat Express has placed a bulk order for Rs 145 crore with Tata Steel’s Composites business for seating systems. This order calls for the provision of full seating systems for 22 train sets, each consisting of 16 coaches.
3. Six National Highway projects were inaugurated in Madhya Pradesh by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
◉ In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, 6 National Highway projects totaling 119 km and costing Rs 2300 crore were formally opened and given the green light by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.

4. To honor Tricolour designer P Venkayya, the Government of India issued a commemorative postage stamp.
◉ The 146th birthday of Pingali Venkayya, the person who created India’s national flag, was celebrated with the issuing by the Indian government of a special commemorative postage stamp.
◉ At an event called “Tiranga Utsav” hosted by the Ministry of Culture at Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the stamp.
◉ The national flag’s original artwork, created by Pingali Venkayya, will also be on exhibit at the occasion. The first flag design was modified to create the current flag.
5. For the next “Make in Odisha” summit in 2022, Odisha and FICCI inked an MoU.
◉ The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), an industry association, and the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha have signed an agreement making the latter a national industry partner for the Make in Odisha ◉ Conclave 2022, which will take place from November 30 to December 4 of that year.
◉ The most entrepreneurial event in Odisha, Make in Odisha, draws industrialists, investors, and entrepreneurs.
◉ The Make in Odisha Conclave will take place for the third time this year. The inaugural edition in 2016 received approximately Rs 2 Lakh Crore in investment intent, which was a tremendous response.

7. Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Shweta Singh named Director of PMO Shweta Singh has been named as a director in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
◉ Singh is an IFS agent from the 2008 batch.
◉ Singh’s appointment was given the ACC’s sanction for a three-year term beginning on the day she began working there.
◉ The 2009-batch IFS officer Aniket Govind Mandavgane’s appointment as the Deputy Secretary in the PMO has been revoked by the ACC.
