1. On August 15, 2022, the country will commemorate its 76th Independence Day.
◉ India will commemorate its 76th Independence Day on August 15, 2022, to recognize its liberation from nearly 200 years of British colonial control.

◉ For the BBV154 intranasal Covid vaccine, Bharat Biotech has finished the clinical development for phase III studies and booster doses.
◉ The adenoviral intranasal vaccine BBV154 has been demonstrated to be safe, well-tolerated, and immunogenic in patients in controlled clinical trials, making it the first Covid-19 vaccine of its sort to undergo human trials in India.
◉ BBV154 is simple to store and distribute because it is stable at 2 to 8°C.

7. Launch of the “Utsav fixed deposit plan” by State Bank of India (SBI), the biggest lender in the country, has launched a novel term deposit scheme dubbed “Utsav Deposit Scheme.”
◉ This fixed deposit program only lasts a short while and offers higher interest rates. This program is launched in honor of the country’s 76th anniversary of independence, known as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
◉ SBI is giving fixed deposits with a duration of 1000 days and an interest rate of 6.10% annually. Additionally, seniors will be entitled to an additional 0.50% over and above the standard interest rate.
8. If GDP expands at 9% for 5 years, India’s economy might reach USD 5 trillion by FY29: Former Governor of the RBI D Subbarao
◉ Speaking at the Federation of Telangana Chamber of Commerce and Industry on India @75- Marching Towards USD 5 Trillion Economy on the occasion of 75 years of Indian Independence, former RBI Governor D Subbarao said there are eight key challenges for India to overcome to achieve the dream of a USD 5 trillion economy.
◉ India may become a USD 5 trillion economy by 2028–2029 only if the GDP grows at a consistent 9% per year for the next five years.
