1. Dahi Handi was made an official sport by Maharashtra.
◉ The state of Maharashtra will officially recognize “Dahi-Handi” as an official sport, according to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
◉ The state’s government will hold “Pro-Dahi-Handi” competitions.
◉ Along with an Rs. 10 lakh insurance policy, the “Govindas” would also receive jobs in the sports area.
◉ A well-known celebration in the state known as “Dahi Handi” is held on Janmashtami, the day of Lord Krishna’s birthday.
2. Mandla becomes the first district in the nation to be total “functionally literate.”
◉ The tribally predominant “Mandla” region of Madhya Pradesh has emerged as the first district in the nation to be entire “functionally literate.”
◉ A survey conducted in 2011 found that 68 percent of the district’s population was illiterate, while a report published in 2020 revealed that number to be over 2.25 lakh, the majority of whom were tribal people who lived in the district’s forested areas.
◉ The “Niraksharta Se Azadi Abhiyaan” was started by the district administration in 2020 to help the locals become functionally literate.
3. The UDAN scheme successfully completed in five years.
◉ The Regional Connectivity Scheme UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik), the Ministry of Civil Aviation’s flagship initiative, has achieved success for five years.

5. Rajasthan has the greatest percentage of project costs that banks have approved: RBI
◉ Rajasthan accounted for the largest portion of the total cost of projects approved by banks and financial institutions in FY22, according to an RBI report.

7. IAF will take part in Pitch Black 2022.
◉ A force from the Indian Air Force (IAF) has arrived in Australia to take part in the exercise “Pitch Black 2022.”
◉ This exercise is slated to take place in Darwin, Australia, from 19 August to 8 September 2022.
◉ A 17-nation air combat exercise was conducted in Australia with the participation of four Indian Air Force Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter fighters and two C-17 heavy lift aircraft.
◉ The Royal Australian Air Force hosts the multinational exercise every two years.
8. In New Delhi, Rajnath Singh opened a national seminar titled “Introspection: Armed Forces Tribunal.”
◉ ‘Introspection: Armed Forces Tribunal’ is a national seminar that was launched by the minister of defence, Rajnath Singh.
◉ It was put on by the New Delhi-based Armed Forces Tribunal (Principal Bench) Bar Association.
