1. Cheetah Task Force established by Environment Ministry
◉ A task group has been established by the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change to oversee the introduction of cheetahs in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park.
◉ The task team was established to assess results and keep tabs on the cheetah’s health, maintenance of the quarantine, and overall area protection.
◉ Amit Mallick, Inspector General, NTCA, New Delhi, Vishnu Priya, Scientist, Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, Abhilash Khandekar, Member MP SBWL, Bhopal, and Subhoranjan Sen, APCCF- Wildlife – Member Convener are among the task force’s members. Alok Kumar, Retd. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) & Chief Wildlife Warden, Madhya Pradesh.
2. The AIIMS in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, was opened by PM Modi.
◉ The All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Kothipura, Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur district, was opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
◉ A total of 247 acres will be used to construct this institution, which would cost 1471 crore rupees.
◉ Additionally, PM Modi dedicated and laid the cornerstone for construction projects totaling more than Rs 3,650 crore.
3. State-run NTPC and GE Gas Power announced an agreement to use hydrogen in gas turbines. In order to test the viability of co-firing hydrogen and natural gas in GE’s 9E gas turbines installed at NTPC’s Kawas combined-cycle gas power plant in Gujarat, the company and GE Gas Power signed a memorandum of understanding.
◉ Together, the two businesses will investigate strategies to lower CO2 emissions from the Kawas gas power plant and expand their implementation across all of NTPC’s installed units in India.
◉ Four GE 9E gas turbines running in combined-cycle mode supply the power for NTPC’s Kawas gas power station, which has an installed capacity of 645 megawatts (MW).
4. Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Schemes 2022 for Industries were introduced in Gujarat.
◉ Bhupendra Patel, the chief minister of Gujarat, has introduced an incentive program for businesses in an effort to bring in Rs 12.5 lakh crore in investments over the next ten years.

5. The government increased the credit guarantee cap for the airline industry.

7. RBI introduced the DAKSH sophisticated supervisory monitoring system.
◉ Shaktikanta Das, governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has introduced the DAKSH “SupTech” program.
◉ The bank’s sophisticated supervisory monitoring system, which is supposed to strengthen the supervisory processes, will be this application.
◉ With the aim of further enhancing the compliance culture in Supervised Entities (SEs), such as Banks and NBFCs, RBI will monitor compliance needs in a more concentrated manner through DAKSH, a web-based end-to-end workflow platform.
8. The World Bank downgraded India’s growth projection for 2022–2023 from 7.5% to 6.5%.
◉ The World Bank has lowered its prediction for India’s GDP growth for 2022–2023 from 7.5% to 6.5% while issuing a warning that the economic outlook will be hampered by the fallout from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and global monetary tightening.
◉ The World Bank has now updated its estimate of India’s GDP growth for FY23 three times. It has reduced its estimate of India’s FY23 GDP growth to 7.5% in June. It had reduced the projection from 8.7% to 8% earlier in April.
9. WTO lowers its prediction for world trade in 2023 to 1%
◉ The International Commerce Organization (WTO) predicts that due to global uncertainties, the growth of world trade will dramatically decelerate to 1 percent in 2023 from the prior forecast of 3.4 percent.
◉ In addition, the WTO forecasts a 3.5 percent increase in global commerce this year as opposed to the April estimate of a 3 percent increase.
◉ For 2022–2023 and 2023, the WTO has set a range of trade growth increase of 2.8%–4.9% and -2.8%–4.6%.
