1. Hollongi Airport in Arunachal Pradesh has been renamed Donyi Polo Airport.
◉ The Union Cabinet has approved the renaming of Hollongi’s Greenfield Airport. It will now be known as “Donyi Polo Airport,” Itanagar.
◉ The new name is intended to express the Arunachal people’s reverence for the Sun (Donyi) and Moon (Polo) and to highlight the State’s rich cultural legacy.
◉ The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is developing the airport with cooperation from the Central Government and the State Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
◉ The Airports Authority of India (AAI) spent Rs 646 crore to build the airport.
2. The Madhya Pradesh government introduced Ladli Laxmi 2.0.
◉ Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has launched the flagship scheme ‘Ladli Laxmi 2.0.’
