1. Prime Minister Modi announced the logo, theme, and website for India’s G20 presidency.
◉ PM Narendra Modi has announced India’s G20 Presidency logo, theme, and website.
◉ India’s message and overarching aims will be reflected in the logo, theme, and website.
◉ Earth sits on a lotus in the G20 emblem, which was made using the four colors of India’s national flag. The seven petals in the logo represent the seven seas and the meeting of seven continents at the G20 India 2023.
2. Ujjain will be home to the world’s first Vedic clock.
◉ The world’s first Vedic Clock will be erected at Ujjain, Lord Malakal’s hometown.
◉ The state government has laid the groundwork for this megaproject at the 300-year-old Jiwaji Observatory in Ujjain at a cost of Rs 1.62 crore.
◉ In 1719, Maharaja Sawai Raja Jaisingh of Jaipur built the observatory.
3. The Goa Chief Minister unveiled the Purple Fest logo.
◉ Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant unveiled the Purple Fest logo at a ceremony held in the Manohar Parrikar Memorial Hall of the Sanjay Centre for Education in Porvorim.

4. IIT-Hyderabad created a low-cost fiber-reinforced concrete.
◉ The Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad has developed a low-cost Ultra-High Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC) for bridge and other infrastructure applications.
◉ By lowering the amount of cement, and fibers, and replacing expensive fine aggregates with cheaper locally available ones through suitable gradation, the cost of UHPFRC was reduced and made reasonable.
◉ The mixture combines the best characteristics of self-consolidating concrete (SCC), fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC), and high-performance concrete (HPC).
◉ UHPFRC created at IIT-H is around two times less expensive than commercially available proprietary products.
5. The Haryana government launched the TOFI Program.
◉ In the state, the Haryana Forest Department and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) started the “Trees Outside Forests in India (TOFI)” program.
◉ The “Trees Outside Forests in India” program will increase carbon sequestration, help local communities, and improve agricultural climate resilience.
◉ This effort will bring together farmers, businesses, and other private organizations to rapidly extend tree coverage in the state outside of traditional forests.

6. Kishor Kumar Basa, Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University, has been selected as the new Chairman of the National Monuments Authority (NMA) for three years.
