1. Modhera Sun Temple and Vadnagar Town Have Been Added to UNESCO’s Proposed List
◉ The provisional list of UNESCO world heritage sites now includes three additional cultural sites in India, including the landmark Sun Temple at Modhera, the medieval Vadnagar town in Gujarat, and the Unakoti rock-cut relief sculptures.
◉ A tentative list is an “inventory of those properties which each State Party plans to consider for nomination,” according to the UNESCO website.
◉ An old city with a rich architectural legacy, Vadnagar is located in Gujarat’s Mehsana district.
The list now includes the rock-cut sculptures and reliefs of Unakoti, Tripura.
2. Meeting of the Indo-India Business Forum takes place at Port Blair
◉ In order to improve infrastructure, tourism, trade, and connectivity and to find new areas of collaboration, the Joint Task Force Committee of the “India-Indonesia Investment and Business Forum” met in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar.

3. GAIL collaborated on an LNG carrier with Mitsui OSK of Japan.
◉ State-owned Gail India has joined forces with Japanese shipping company Mitsui OSK Lines to jointly control an existing LNG carrier and construct a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier.
◉ The ship will be constructed by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in South Korea, with a charter beginning in 2023.
◉ The first vessel was the subject of a contract signed by the parties in 2019, and as of 2021, Gail has been renting it through a fully-owned MOL subsidiary.
