1. First-ever Train Control & Supervision System was introduced by Delhi Metro.
◉ An indigenously created signaling technology has been introduced for use on the Delhi Metro’s Red Line, marking a first for an MRT system in India.
◉ The Delhi Metro now uses the i-ATS (Indigenous-Automatic Train Supervision), India’s first locally produced train control and supervision system.
◉ A combined team from DMRC and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) created India’s first-ever indigenous automatic train supervision system (i-ATS) as part of the “Made in India” and “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” efforts for metro rail transit systems.
2. Delhi has outlawed the use of bike taxis like Ola, Uber, and Rapido
◉ The Ola, Uber, and Rapido bike taxis have been outlawed by the Delhi government with immediate effect.
◉ According to a government notice, it is illegal to operate a personal vehicle as a business taxi.
If the order is broken, a fine of Rs 5000 will be assessed, and if it happens again, a fine of Rs 10,000 would be assessed along with incarceration.
3. Dharmendra Pradhan introduced educational resources for children.
◉ In New Delhi, Learning-Teaching Material Jaadui Pitara was introduced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for young children.
◉ As of the 2019 academic year, it will be required in at least 1,200 central government-run institutions.
◉ It was introduced as part of the foundational stage 2022 National Curriculum Framework.
Playbooks, activity books, flashcards, posters showing different stories, games, puzzles, puppets, and many other objects are included in it.
4. With the Bharat Gaurav Tourism Train, Railways will begin the Guru Kirpa Yatra.
◉ On April 5, 2023, Indian Railways will depart from Lucknow with its Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train to begin the Guru Kirpa Yatra.
◉ The pilgrims will visit the five Holy Takhts as well as other important Sikhism shrines during the eleven-day holy journey.
◉ The tour will stop at the Sri Kesgarh Sahib Gurudwara and Virasat-e-Khalsa in Anandpur Sahib, the Sri Patalpuri Sahib Gurudwara in Kiratpur Sahib, the Sri Fatehgarh Sahib Gurudwara in Sirhind, the Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar, Sri Dam.
5. A cooperative digital payment system was launched by India and Singapore.
◉ To make cross-border transactions easier and quicker for citizens of both countries, India and Singapore have developed a combined digital payment system.
◉ To make these transactions easier, PayNow in Singapore and Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in India have partnered.
Shaktikanta Das, Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, and Ravi Menon, Managing Director of the ◉ Monetary Authority of Singapore, jointly announced the facility.
Real-Time Payment Linkage’s virtual debut featured participation from Singapore’s Lee Hsien Loong and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
◉ The Indian diaspora in Singapore will benefit from this real-time payment mechanism, particularly students and migrant workers.

10. O P Kohli, a former governor of Gujarat, passed away
◉ Om Prakash Kohli, a longtime BJP leader and former governor of Gujarat, passed away at the age of 87.
◉ From 2014 to 2019, Kohli served as Gujarat’s 19th governor. He presided over Goa and Madhya Pradesh while serving as governor of Gujarat.
◉ He was a well-known academic as well as a former member of the Rajya Sabha and BJP’s local Delhi chapter head.
◉ He was on the BJP’s National Executive and was in charge of the party’s operations in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana.
