1. C-20 India Inception meeting conducted in Nagpur
◉ The Orange City in Nagpur, Maharashtra will host the Civil20 India (C-20) Inception meeting from March 20–21, 2023.
◉ It is one of the empowered groups, which gives a platform for Civil Society Organisations to convey the people’s goals to the world leaders in G20.
◉ The inaugural event was attended by Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi and Spiritual leader Mata Amritanandmayi.
◉ 30 speakers and about 250 delegates attended the two-day inception meeting.
◉ Together with other tourism destinations, the delegates also visited the wildlife in the Pench Tiger Reserve in Nagpur.
2. NGEL inked a deal with Indian Oil Corporation Limited for setting up renewable energy projects
◉ A joint venture agreement was struck between NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a fully owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, and Indian Oil Company Limited (IOCL) for the establishment of renewable energy projects to meet the refineries’ power needs.
◉ NGEL has set a lofty goal of generating 60 GW of renewable energy over the next ten years.
The signing of the deal will enable it to meet the Government of India’s renewable energy ambitions.

3. TIME list of World’s Best Sites of 2023 unveiled
◉ Two Indian locations have been included in TIME magazine’s annual list of the “World’s Best Places” for the year 2023.
◉ Ladakh and Mayurbhanj, two locales in India, are among the chosen locations.
◉ The high-altitude region of Ladakh is renowned for its mesmerizing scenery, beautiful lakes, and snow-capped mountains.

◉ Ratan Tata is the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, former Chairman of the Tata Group, and one of the world’s richest businesspeople.
◉ Ratan Tata has been a prominent and active proponent of stronger links between Australia and India, notably campaigning for an India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement, due to be finished in 2022.
5. India’s Cotton Corporation has named Lalit Kumar Gupta as its new CMD.
◉ Lalit Kumar Gupta has been appointed as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) for a period of five years.
◉ The PESB panel recommended him for the position of CMD of CCI.
◉ Now, he is employed as Director (Finance) at the same organization.
◉ CCI is a public sector organization that reports to the textiles ministry.
