1. New ITU Area Office and Innovation Center opened by PM Modi in New Delhi
◉ The new International Telecommunication Union (ITU) field office and innovation center in India was opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
◉ Moreover, Modi introduced the Bharat 6G Vision Paper, debuted the Call Before U Dig App, and the 6G Research and Development Test Bed.

2. Erode will soon be home to Tamil Nadu’s 18th wildlife sanctuary
◉ Thanthai Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary has been designated as the state’s 18th wildlife sanctuary by the Tamil Nadu government.
◉ It occupies an area of 80,567 hectares in the Erode district’s forested taluks of Anthiyur and Gobichettipalayam.
◉ Karnataka, it is close to the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary, BRT Wildlife Sanctuary, and Malai Mahadeshwara Wildlife Sanctuary.

◉ The largest 4-meter International Liquid Mirror Telescope (ILMT) in Asia was unveiled by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh at Devasthal in Uttarakhand.
◉ It is located at the observatory, which is part of the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences complex, at a height of 2450 meters.
◉ As the largest aperture telescope currently available in the nation and the first optical survey telescope in India, it is the first liquid mirror telescope specifically created for astronomical studies.
