1. Ayush Health Services and Research facility is opened by the Goa CM.
◉ At Ribandar in Goa, the Ministry of Ayush has set up Ayush services for medical treatment and Ayush research facilities. Dr. Pramod Sawant, the Chief Minister of Goa, opened the facility.
◉ The facility’s goals include offering the local population high-quality and reasonably priced Ayush healthcare services and fostering traditional medicine research by creating a museum, library, and laboratory specifically for studying drugs with mineral and marine origins.
◉ The institute’s goal is to use Ayush systems of medicine to deliver high-quality, reasonably priced healthcare to every part of the state.
◉ The goal is to increase infrastructure and human resources while fostering research in conventional medical systems through efficient partnerships with reputable organizations that share similar goals.
2. Delhi’s fourth runway and elevated taxiway are unveiled by Jyotiraditya Scindia
◉ Jyotiraditya Scindia, the minister of civil aviation, has opened the fourth runway at the Delhi airport as well as two elevated Eastern Cross Taxiways.
◉ The busiest airport in the nation, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), sees more than 1,500 aircraft movements per day.
◉ The 2.1 kilometer-long Eastern Cross Taxiways (ECT) will shorten passengers’ waits on the tarmac following landing and prior to takeoff of flights.

3. From July 19, Goa will host a meeting of the Energy Transitions Working Group.
◉ The fourth Energy Transitions Working Group Meeting will take place in Goa on July 19 and 20, 2023, during India’s G20 Presidency.
◉ The G20 Energy Ministerial Meeting will take place on July 22, 2023, and be presided over by Union Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy, Shri R. K. Singh.
◉ The 14th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) and 8th Mission Innovation (MI) meeting (CEM14/MI-8) will also be placed in Goa from July 19–21, 2023, concurrently with the G20 Energy Transitions Ministerial and Working Group Meetings.
4. The government wants to gasify 100 million tonnes of coal by 2030.
◉ By FY 2030, the Ministry of Coal wants to gasify 100 million tonnes of coal.
◉ The ministry is proposing a comprehensive plan to support coal and lignite gasification projects for both public sector enterprises (PSUs) and the private sector, with an outlay of 6,000 crore.
◉ Gasification technology will revolutionize the coal industry in India and lessen the country’s dependency on imported natural gas, methanol, ammonia, and other critical products.
◉ The majority of India’s methanol, half of its natural gas, and 13–15% of its total ammonia needs are currently imported.
5. Additional 1.44 lakh homes under PMAY-Gramin are allocated by the center to UP.
◉ Under the “Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojna-Gramin” (PMAY-G) scheme, an additional 1,44,220 homes have been allocated to Uttar Pradesh for the fiscal year 2023–2024.
◉ After that, the state’s total number of completed homes will have reached 21,68,574.
◉ The letter also states that, in keeping with the scheme’s objectives, the state must reserve at least 60% of the targets for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, provided that such groups are represented in the housing database.
