1. The 12th Mekong Ganga Cooperation Summit is co-chaired by Jaishankar.
◉ Together with his Laos counterpart Saleumxay Kommasith, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar co-chaired the 12th Mekong-Ganga Cooperation (MGC) meeting in Bangkok.
◉ An organization called the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation Business Council was created, and the construction of the India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway was given priority.
◉ Six nations—India and five ASEAN nations—Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam—have joined forces to form the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation (MGC), which aims to promote cooperation in the areas of tourism, culture, and education, as well as transportation and communications.
2. The Uttarakhand Harela Festival begins in 2023.

◉ Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 accepts donations from anyone, anywhere, utilizing a variety of payment methods, including UPI, QR codes, debit cards, and credit cards.

5. India’s first international power plant is launched by the Adani Group

5. India and the UAE strike agreements to promote the usage of local currencies.
◉ Two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed between the Reserve Bank of India and the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) on the promotion of local currencies for international trade and the linking of their respective UPI payment systems with the UAE’s Instant Payment Platform (IPP).
◉ The Indian rupee (INR) and the UAE dirham (AED) will now cooperate with one another to create a framework for promoting the use of local currencies in international trade.
◉ The Local Currency Settlement System (LCSS) will be implemented as part of the MoU on developing a framework for the use of local currencies for transactions between India and the UAE in order to encourage the usage of INR and AED on a bilateral basis.

◉ Both soldiers from the Mongolian Armed Forces Unit 084 and soldiers from the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment of the Indian Army will take part in the exercise.
