1. The Minimum Guaranteed Income Bill is approved by the Rajasthan Assembly.
◉ As part of a welfare package for the state, the Rajasthan Assembly enacted a bill ensuring a minimum guaranteed income for all adult residents.
◉ According to the Bill, some beneficiaries would be given a minimum wage job guarantee for at least 125 days each fiscal year.
◉ Other beneficiaries, including senior citizens, people with disabilities, widows, and single women, will have pension rights under the Bill.
◉ From FY 2024–2025, the pension that is due will increase at a rate of 15% every year.
2. G20 countries’ ministers of labor and employment will gather in Madhya Pradesh
◉ Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a video message to the meeting of labor and employment ministers while India is holding the G-20 chair.
◉ The conference is taking place in Indore, and the Employment Working Group’s draft will also be made available.
◉ Following the Prime Minister’s video message at the G-20 meeting of labor and employment ministers, ministers from many participating nations also share their opinions.
◉ The minister-level meeting is attended by 165 representatives in total, including 24 ministers from G-20 and invited nations.
3. IIT Guwahati and the Indian Council of World Affairs sign an agreement
◉ To develop ability and abilities in international affairs and foreign policy, the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) have signed a memorandum of understanding.
◉ The partnership aims to increase understanding of global issues and Indian foreign policy.
◉ During his speech at the 25th Convocation of IIT Guwahati, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar made the announcement about this collaboration.
The contract will be in effect for three years.

◉ Within the next five to six years, the semiconductor sector is predicted to grow rapidly, topping $650 million and eventually reaching $1 billion.
◉ India is viewed by Japan as a trustworthy partner with complementary characteristics, making it a prime candidate for collaboration.

◉ The project entails drilling the nation’s deepest well, and it will start in Xinjiang, a province renowned for its oil riches.
◉ The cretaceous system in the Earth’s crust will be reached after the borehole has pierced more than ten continental strata.
◉ This is found in the Xinjiang region, which is rich in oil. Mineral and energy resources can be found with the aid of deep earth exploration.

6. Canara Bank and the Ministry of Culture establish an agreement to cooperate financially.
◉ To give financial support to chosen beneficiaries of the Scheme for Financial Assistance for Veteran Artists, the Ministry of Culture and Canara Bank have signed an MoU.
◉ According to the MoU, the Ministry is required to upload the master data of a few chosen beneficiaries to the web portal that will be created by Canara Bank for this purpose, including both fresh and old data.
◉ According to the scheme’s rules, Canara Bank must determine its quarterly funding needs and submit a request for those amounts to the Ministry.

8. The highest-ranking female Navy officer in US history is Lisa Franchetti.
