1. A special art display honoring G-20 members will begin.
◉ In Bihar, the Bihar Museum in Patna opened a special art display honoring G-20 member nations. Nitish Kumar, the chief minister, opened the display.
◉ Together We Art is the name of the two-month-long exhibition, which will end on October 7th, 2023.
◉ As part of India’s G-20 presidency, 29 nations, including India, are taking part in the exhibition, which is coordinated by the Union Ministry of Art and Culture.
2. Gujarat’s government has implemented the One District One Product (ODOP) program.
◉ In order to market its homegrown goods internationally, the Gujarati government has developed the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme with a grant of 58 crores rupees.
◉ From 21 of the state’s districts, more than 25 handmade items have been chosen for this program.
◉ The ODOP project aims to promote balanced regional development throughout the nation’s districts, facilitating comprehensive socioeconomic progress throughout all regions.
◉ By locating items with export potential in the district, the goal is to concentrate on the district as a unit for transforming into a manufacturing and export hub.
3. The Haryana government intends to construct a dam for 6,134 crore rupees.
◉ A dam will cost 6,134 crore rupees to build, according to the Haryana government.
◉ It will be constructed in the Yamunanagar district, 4.5 km upstream of the Hathnikund Barrage, and would feature a reservoir that is 14 km long.
◉ Aside from the production of 250 MW of power, the state will benefit from increased availability of irrigation water, groundwater recharge, and aquaculture after the project is finished.
◉ 10.82 lakh cubic seconds will be the capacity of its reservoir. This will probably stop flooding from the Yamuna in Delhi and its surrounding districts in Haryana. Along with Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the dam region borders both of those states.

◉ Guyana has contracted with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to buy two Dornier 228 aircraft.
◉ Guyana is also interested in buying radar equipment, armored vehicles, and patrol boats.
◉ In order to strengthen military-to-military communications, Guyana and India will also scale up personnel training. Guyana and India are also working together on cybersecurity and IT operations.

5. Odisha government and Bandhan Bank collaborate to strengthen OTDC
◉ To expand the state tourism department’s payment options, Bandhan Bank and the state government’s Odisha Tourism Development Corporation have cooperated.
◉ For the convenience of tourists using cards to make purchases, the bank has provided Point of Sale (PoS) devices.
◉ This partnership will cover prominent locations including Puri, Bhubaneshwar, Konark, Chilka, and Gopalpur.
◉ The PoS devices will expedite the collection of visitor payments, benefiting both visitors and OTDC.
6. Postal Life Insurance introduces a direct incentive payment program for salespeople.
◉ The “Direct Incentive Disbursement” program has been introduced by Postal Life Insurance (PLI) for its sales staff in the Delhi and Uttarakhand circles.
◉ The move was made by the player in the insurance industry for the benefit of its sales team, who are responsible for the department’s expansion.
◉ The ‘Direct Incentive Disbursement’ function will allow agents to easily receive the transfer of their commissions from the previous month directly to their Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) Accounts.
◉ Around two lakh sales force employees, including Gramin Dak Sevaks, Direct Agents, Field Officers, and Departmental Employees, will be impacted by the project across the country.
7. In FY23, domestic corporations raised Rs 9.8 lakh crore from the market: SEBI
◉ Domestic companies raised Rs 9.8 lakh crore from capital markets in fiscal 2022–23, which was 4.6 percent more than the amount raised in fiscal 2022, according to the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI) annual report.
◉ According to SEBI, corporations or infrastructure companies raise money through a variety of instruments, including debt (public and private placement), equity (public, rights, preferential, and QIP), alternative investment funds (AIFs), real estate investment trusts (REITs), and infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs).
◉ Equity and debt divisions contributed for Rs 9.2 lakh crore of capital formation of the total resources mobilized.
