1. Project Abhinandan is launched by Air India in 16 airports
◉ ‘Project Abhinandan’ was started by Air India in an effort to improve the on-ground experience for passengers.
◉ The project seeks to provide travelers with an individualized and hassle-free experience.
◉ In order to provide on-ground help, it has stationed specially trained service assurance personnel at 16 key airports across India.
◉ Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Varanasi, and Vishakhapatnam are among the airports where these officers have been stationed.
◉ When Air India passengers require assistance, they will be available in the check-in area, lounges, close to boarding gates, during transit, or in the arrival hall.
2. CM Khattar of Haryana unveils new e-Bhoomi gateway
◉ Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, has unveiled a new e-Bhoomi portal that aims to streamline the procedure for acquiring property with landowners’ permission for the construction of government projects.
◉ The government wants to buy land with the owners’ permission and in a transparent manner.
◉ For a period of six months, land would be offered for sale through the new portal. Farmers can alone or through listed aggregators offer their land. For voluntary proposals made by aggregators, a minimum offer of 10 acres is required.
3. Haryana would provide Rs 50,000 for industrial employees’ daughters.
◉ Manohar Lal Khattar, the chief minister of Haryana, has stated that daughters of industrial workers who are pursuing higher education will be given Rs 50,000 to purchase electric two-wheelers.
◉ The ability to purchase electric scooters will improve mobility for female college students.
◉ In addition, the Chief Minister announced an increase in the amount of the scholarship for the kids of industrial workers.
◉ Students in Class 9 to those studying bachelor and postgraduate degrees would be eligible for these scholarships, which will range in value from Rs 10,000 to Rs 21,000.
4. The government would provide loans under the Vishwakarma Yojana with an 8% subsidy.
◉ With regard to loans provided to craftsmen as part of the Vishwakarma Yojana, which was introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government will provide a subsidy of up to 8%.
◉ In the Budget 2023–24, the government has already allocated Rs 13,000 crore.
◉ The craftspeople will be offered collateral-free loans with interest rates as low as 5%.
◉ The government would offer a loan of up to Rs 3 lakh under the 18-activity program, which also includes work by carpenters, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, masons, stone sculptors, barbers, and boatbuilders.
◉ The beneficiary would initially receive a loan of Rs 1 lakh, and following an 18-month repayment period, they will be eligible for an additional loan of Rs 2 lakh.
5. The first UNCITRAL South Asia Conference was held in India.
◉ The first South Asia session of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) was held in India.
◉ The Ministry of External Affairs, UNCITRAL, and the organization’s national coordination committee for India collaborated to plan the meeting.
◉ Goal – To strengthen India’s relationship with UNCITRAL and promote communication between UNCITRAL, the judicial system, government agencies, academic institutions, and the legal community.
◉ The three-day conference was a follow-up to the one held in New Delhi in 2016 to commemorate UNCITRAL’s 50th anniversary.
6. The Rajya Sabha Chairman established a 50% vice-chairpersons’ panel. MPs who are women
◉ In order to increase the representation of women, Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar reorganized the panel of vice-chairpersons with a majority of female lawmakers.
◉ Four women will now make up the eight-member panel, including Mamata Mohanta of the Biju Janata Dal and MPs Kanta Kardam, Sumitra Balmik, and Geeta alias Chandraprabha of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

7. UNESCO designates Rabindranath Tagore’s Santiniketan as a World Heritage Site.

8. Juspay and Yes Bank collaborate to provide merchant in-app UPI payments.
◉ The leading payments company in India, Juspay, partnered with YES Bank to launch HyperUPI, an NPCI plug-in SDK that enables in-app UPI payments in merchant apps.
◉ Merchants can now provide simple “1-click UPI experiences” via their Android and iOS apps without becoming an official UPI app.
◉ Because UPI payments may now be made on the merchant’s app, customers won’t need to rely on a different app to complete their UPI transactions.
