1. Obtaining 100% ODF Plus Coverage in Uttar Pradesh
◉ Under the flagship Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) program, Uttar Pradesh has achieved 100% Open Defecation Free (ODF) Plus coverage.
◉ All of Uttar Pradesh’s over 96,000 villages have now been designated ODF Plus.
◉ An ODF Plus village is one that has implemented solid or liquid waste management systems in addition to maintaining its open defecation-free status.
◉ The majority of villages in the country—roughly 4.4 lakh—have proclaimed themselves ODF Plus as of this writing, which is a key step toward attaining the SBM-G Phase-II objectives by 2024–2025.
2. PM Modi dedicates an FM relay station in Dahod.
◉ The foundation stone was laid by Gujarat’s premier for the Akashvani Dahod FM Relay Station Project.
◉ The Prime Minister virtually unveiled the Foundation Stone plaque for the 10-kilowatt FM Relay Station at an event in Bodeli, the state, along with other projects.
◉ This station will be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 11.00 crore, and it will be strategically placed to cover a 55 km radius or almost 75% of the Dahod tribal district.
