1. Rajasthan Will Get Three New Districts, according to CM Ashok Gehlot
◉ Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, recently announced intentions to create Malpura, Sujangarh, and Kuchman City as three new districts in the state.
◉ With this development, Rajasthan now has 53 districts in total, ahead of the 2019 Assembly election.
◉ In August of the same year, the state administration had earlier established 17 new districts. This action is a part of the government’s attempts to meet public expectations and comply with high-level committee recommendations.
2. Tripura is the fourth state to use the electronic cabinet system.
◉ The e-cabinet system for Tripura was recently unveiled by Chief Minister Manik Saha. With this decision, Tripura would join Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh as the fourth Indian state and second in the Northeast to use an e-cabinet system.
◉ Through the use of digital tablets by ministers and bureaucrats, this system’s implementation represents a commitment to paperless cabinet discussions, a reduction in carbon emissions, and environmental sustainability.
