1. SUN Mobility and Bluwheelz collaborate to install more than 16,000 EVs.
◉ In order to deploy more than 16,000 EVs in the upcoming 12 months, battery-swapping solutions provider SUN Mobility has joined forces with electric vehicle fleet operator Bluwheelz.
◉ Over the course of the following year, the companies hope to deploy more than 15,000 electric two-wheelers and 1,000 electric three-wheelers in all major cities.
◉ With around 500 cars already on the highways in Delhi, the deployment has already begun; operations will soon begin in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

6. Retail inflation decreased from 6.83% in August to 5.02% in September.
◉ According to data issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO), India’s retail inflation, as determined by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), decreased to a three-month low of 5.02% in September as a result of falling food costs.
◉ After a two-month hiatus, the inflation has returned to the Reserve Bank of India’s preferred target of below 6%.
◉ The CPI for India was 7.44% in July 2023 and 6.83% in August 2023.

10. Filmmaker PV Gangadharan dies at the age of 80
◉ At the age of 80, PV Gangadharan, a well-known Malayalam film producer and the editor of the Mathrubhumi group of periodicals, passed away.
◉ Gangadharan, often known by his stage moniker PVG, established himself in both politics and the film industry. The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) included him as a member.
◉ In addition to politics, Gangadharan enjoyed success in the film industry. He established his production company, Grihalakshmi Productions, and funded a number of blockbuster movies in the Malayalam film industry.
