1. Uttar Pradesh will host the first telecom center of excellence in India.
◉ The IIT Roorkee campus in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh will host India’s first Telecom Centre of Excellence.
◉ This center’s primary goal is to figure out how to integrate artificial intelligence with 5G and facilitate the rollout of 6G in India. The goal of this ₹30 crore project is to support innovation and give young people in Uttar Pradesh employment opportunities.
◉ On December 5, the Chief Minister, Shri Yogi Adityanath, will lay the foundation stone to formally begin this project.
2. Maharashtra is where the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra began.
◉ The state’s municipal corporation districts saw the launch of the Information Education and Communication (IEC) campaign, also known as the Vikait Bharat Sankalp Yatra, in numerous urban centers.

5. The 54th India International Film Festival took place in Goa from November 20 to November 28, 2023.
◉ Goa hosted the conclusion of the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Bambolim, Goa, served as the venue for the closing ceremony.

◉ Rajat Kumar Jain has been appointed as the non-executive chairman of Fino Payments Bank.
He was previously the MD of Walt Disney India and Xerox India. His appointment, which runs from ◉ November 24, 2023, to November 1, 2025, was approved by the RBI. In addition to being a non-executive director on the boards of several firms alongside those in the Aditya Birla group, Jain attended IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad.

7. Former NABARD Chairman Harsh Kumar Bhanwala has been appointed as a director by HDFC Bank.
◉ The Board of Directors of HDFC Bank has accepted Harsh Kumar Bhanwala’s nomination as an additional independent director for three years. Additionally, the director approves V Srinivasa Rangan’s nomination as executive director.
◉ In addition to being the chairman and managing director of the India Infrastructure Finance Company, Bhanwala chaired NABARD from 2013 to 2020.

10. For a contract of Rs. 2956 crore, the Defence Ministry hired BHEL to provide 16 super rapid gun tanks for the navy.
◉ Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and the Defense Ministry recently signed a contract for the procurement of 16 modernized fast gun mounts and other equipment for the Indian Navy. This medium-caliber weapon system is designed to defend against missiles and airplanes, providing a steady pace of high precision and firepower.
◉ The Indian Navy’s recently constructed ships are outfitted with these weapons. It has been announced that BHEL will produce these weapons and equipment at its plant in Haridwar.
◉ These weapon systems have demonstrated their ability to counter a variety of threat scenarios and perform well against attack craft and missiles.
