1. Gujarat came out on top in the first round of the NITI Aayog’s State Energy and Climate Index.
◉ The State Energy and Climate Index, SECI-Round One, was released by NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Dr Rajiv Kumar and Chief Executive Officer Amitabh Kant.
◉ Gujarat has topped the NITI Aayog’s State Energy and Climate Index (SECI)-Round One, with Kerala and Punjab following closely behind.
◉ Goa, Tripura, and Manipur are the top three performers among minor states. The states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand were ranked last.
2. In Gujarat, President Ramnath Kovind inaugurates the Madhavpur Ghed Fair.
◉ On April 10, 2022, the President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind opened the five-day Madhavpur Ghed Fair in Madhavpur Ghed, Porbandar, Gujarat.

6. Maharashtra Bank would sell a 4% stake in India SME Asset Reconstruction Company.
◉ The Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) has stated that it will sell its full 4% stake in India SME Asset Reconstruction Company (ISARC) for Rs 3.92 crore in cash.
◉ The contract was signed on April 6, 2022. The deal is expected to be finalised by the end of December 2022. The divestment has a proposed floor price of Rs 9.80 per equity share.
7. In 2021-22, India’s gold imports climbed by 33.34 per cent to $46.14 billion.
◉ According to official figures, India’s gold imports increased by 33.34 per cent to 46.14 billion in 2021-22 due to increased demand.
◉ In 2020-21, gold imports were estimated to be around 34.62 billion dollars. The increase in gold imports contributed to a $192.41 billion trade deficit in 2020-21, up from $102.62 billion in 2020-21.
