1. PM Modi inaugurated a 108-foot-tall statue of Lord Hanuman in the Gujarat town of Morbi.
◉ On Hanuman Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi erected a 108-foot statue of Lord Hanuman in Morbi, Gujarat.
◉ As part of the ‘Hanumanji Char Dham project,’ the statue is the second of four statues being erected in each of the four directions across the country.
2. The “UDAN” programme has been chosen for the Prime Minister’s Award for Public Administration Excellence in 2020.
◉ The flagship plan of the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), the Regional Connectivity Scheme UDAN (UdeDeshkaAamNagrik), has been selected for the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2020 in the category “Innovation (General) – Central.”

6. Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya has chosen Paytm as its official digital payments partner.
◉ Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, or Prime Ministers’ Museum, in New Delhi to recognise the contributions of all 14 Indian Prime Ministers since independence, regardless of ideology or tenure.
◉ The Prime Ministers’ Museum has chosen Paytm as its official digital payment partner. Its payment gateway, EDC (Electronic Data Capture) equipment, and QR code payment solutions are all available to enable ultrafast, quick, and secure transactions.
7. Three General Insurance Companies’ authorised share capital has been enhanced by the government.
◉ The authorised share capital of three public sector general insurance companies – National Insurance Company Limited, Oriental Insurance Company Limited, and United India Insurance Company – has been enhanced by the government. This will result in a capital infusion of Rs. 5,000 crore into these companies.
◉ According to a notification issued by the Finance Ministry, the allowed capital for National Insurance will now be 15,000 crores (1,500 crore shares with a face value of 10 each), up from the present 7,500 crores (1,500 crore shares with a face value of ten each).
