1. In Jorhat, Assam, India’s first pure green hydrogen factory was inaugurated.
◉ On April 20, 2022, Oil India Limited (OIL) commissioned India’s first 99.999 percent pure Green Hydrogen pilot plant at its Jorhat Pump Station in Assam.
◉ The plant has a daily capacity of 10 kg.
◉ The plant uses a 100 kW Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) Electrolyser array to make Green Hydrogen from the electricity supplied by a 500 kW solar plant.
2. In Telangana, Biliti Electric will build the world’s largest electric three-wheeler manufacturing plant.
◉ Biliti Electric Inc (Biliti), headquartered in California, has stated its plan to build the world’s largest electric three-wheeler manufacturing facility in Telangana.
◉ The plant will be constructed in two phases on a 200-acre site. Phase I, covering 13.5 acres and capable of producing 18000 electric vehicles (EV) per year, will open in 2023, followed by Phase II, covering 200 acres and capable of producing 240000 EV per year, in 2024.
3. In Dahod, Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi unveiled development projects worth Rs 22,000 crores.
◉ At a celebration in Dahod, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated different projects worth 22,000 crore rupees.
◉ Dahod District Southern Area Regional Water Supply Scheme (Rs 840 crore), built in the Narmada River Basin; Dahod Smart City (Rs 840 crore) (Rs 335 crore).
4. Sunil Bajpai, the chairman of SEBI’s advisory committee for leveraging regulatory and technological solutions, has been reconstituted.
◉ The Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI) Advisory Committee for Leveraging Regulatory and Technology Solutions has been reconstituted (ALeRTS).
◉ Sunil Bajpai, former Principal Advisor (Information Technology) of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, will lead the seven-member group (TRAI).

5. Côte d’Ivoire’s Prime Minister, Patrick Achi, has been re-elected.
◉ President Alassane Ouattara has re-appointed Patrick Achi as Prime Minister of the Ivory Coast.
◉ In March 2021, he was named Prime Minister. After Amadou Gon Coulibaly (who died in 2020) and Hamed Bakayoko, he was the third prime minister of the West African state (Ivory Coast) in the last three years (who died in 2021).

6. For Rs 184 crore, HDFC will sell a 10% interest in HDFC Capital to Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
◉ To acquire Rs 184 crore, the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) sold a 10% interest in HDFC Capital Advisors to a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).
◉ HDFC Capital is an HDFC Limited wholly-owned subsidiary. ADIA is also a major shareholder in HDFC Capital’s alternative investment funds.
7. The “Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package” insurance scheme for health personnel fighting COVID-19 has been extended for another 180 days.
◉ With effect from April 19, 2022, the Central Government has extended the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package (PMGKP) for another 180 days.
◉ The goal of this extension is to keep providing a safety net to the dependents of health workers caring for COVID-19 patients.

8. Manoj Kumar Katiyar has been named as the new DGMO.
◉ The new Director-General of Military Operations has been named Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar (DGMO).
◉ On May 1st, he would take over the new position. Lieutenant General Katiyar, a graduate of the National Defence Academy, was commissioned into the Rajput Regiment’s 23rd Battalion in June 1986.
9. LV Vaidyanathan named CEO of P&G India Procter & Gamble
◉ India has named LV Vaidyanathan, who oversees the company’s operations in Indonesia, as its new CEO.
◉ Madhusudan Gopalan, who will take on a new role at the parent firm, will hand over the reins to him. From July 1, 2022, Vaidyanathan will be the CEO.

10. INS Vagsheer, India’s sixth Scorpene-class submarine, was launched in Mumbai as part of Project-75.
◉ Mrs.Veena Ajay Kumar launched the sixth and final submarine of the Indian Navy’s Kalvari class submarines, “INS Vagsheer” (Yard 11880), in Mazagon Dock Limited’s (MDL) Kanhoji Angre Wet Basin in Mumbai.
◉ After sea testing, the last of the Scorpene-class submarines built under the P75 project will enter the Navy fleet.

◉ The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has launched the 8th edition of the two-day National Level Pollution Response Exercise, ‘NATPOLREX-VIII,’ off Mormugao harbor in Goa, which is being overseen by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Defence Secretary.
