1. Kerala Tourism has created the ‘Maya’ WhatsApp Chatbot, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
◉ P A Mohamed Riyas, Kerala’s Tourism Minister, has inaugurated ‘Maya,’ a 24-hour WhatsApp chatbot that will deliver information and updates about Kerala’s tourism industry.
◉ Maya, which is billed as the country’s first service of its kind, provides users with information on locations, experiences, lodging, transit, and a slew of other facts that will keep them informed about the places they visit or stay in the state.
2. For the second time, Yogi Adityanath was sworn in as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
◉ At the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath was sworn in as the new chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. From Gorakhpur, he was elected (urban)

3. Malaysia will host four countries for the Bersama Shield military exercise in 2022.
◉ In the annual Bursama Shield 2022 training exercise, Malaysia will host the military forces of four countries: Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. Bursama means “clearly united” in Malay.
◉ The exercise will feature sea and air drills, with the majority of them taking place in international waters, but some of them will also take place near Malaysia’s Exclusive Economic Zone in the South China Sea.

4. For smartphone insurance, ICICI Lombard has teamed with Airtel Payments Bank.
◉ Airtel Payments Bank and ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company have inked a deal to provide smartphone insurance, which provides financial protection against loss.
◉ It will help India’s mobile insurance market grow. Amount of mobile insurance equal to the purchase price of smartphones will be provided under the agreement.
5. SBI Group was granted permission by the RBI to acquire a 9.99 percent interest in ICICI Bank.
◉ The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has given its approval for State Bank of India Mutual Fund Limited (SBIFML) and other SBI group firms to buy up to 9.99 percent of ICICI Bank’s equity capital.
◉ The approval granted to SBI Mutual Fund is valid for one year, until March 22, 2023. SBI Mutual Fund has a 5.72 percent position in ICICI Bank in December 2021.

6. Pralay Mondal has been named interim CEO and MD of CSB Bank.
◉ Pralay Mondal has been appointed interim Managing Director and CEO of CSB Bank by the Reserve Bank of India.
◉ He is currently the Managing Director of CSB Bank. After full-time MD and CEO C V R Rajendran announced his early retirement due to health reasons, the position of MD and CEO at CSB Bank was left vacant (w.e.f March 31, 2022).

8. TCS and IIT Madras have teamed to develop an M.Tech in Industrial AI.
◉ The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has teamed up with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to create a web-based, user-friendly master’s course called Tech in “Industrial AI,” which aims to upskill employees and integrate AI applications into industrial concerns.
◉ IIT M will deliver the 18-month program, which was developed in conjunction with TCS, entirely online using virtual classrooms. The program’s first cohort will be TCS students.

13. Former Chief Justice of India RC Lahoti has died.
◉ Ramesh Chandra Lahoti, the former Chief Justice of India, died at the age of 81.
◉ On June 1, 2004, he was appointed as India’s 35th Chief Justice. On November 1, 2005, he stepped down from the job after 17 months at the helm of the court.
