1. The world’s first Ayurvedic Biobank will be established at AIIA in Delhi.
- Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has pledged his full support for the establishment of the world’s first Ayurvedic Bio-Bank at the All India Institute of Ayurveda in New Delhi.
- Mr Sonowal praised the institute’s efforts and pledged his full support for the institute’s continued development in order to make it the best Ayurveda institute in the world.
2. Under the PM-KISAN scheme, Prime Minister Modi transfers over Rs 19,500 crore to over 9.75 million farmers.
- Under the government’s PM-KISAN scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi effectively handed over Rs 19,500 crore to over 9.75 crore farmers.

5. India is ranked 32nd in the world for finding creative ways to combat Covid-19.
- According to a research developed by StartupBlink in collaboration with UNAIDS’ Health Innovation Exchange, India has dropped six points to 32nd place in the worldwide coronavirus innovation rankings for countries.
- The United States, Israel, Canada, Belgium, and Switzerland are the top five countries.
- Based on innovative methods established to combat the epidemic, the report highlights the top 40 countries and 100 towns in the world.

6. To encourage entrepreneurship, SIDBI has established the Swavalamban Challenge Fund.
- The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), the primary financial institution dedicated to the promotion, financing, and development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), has launched the ‘Swavalamban Challenge Fund’ in collaboration with the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office of the United Kingdom (FCDO UK) (SCF).

7. NSE and IBBI sign a research collaboration agreement.
- The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has announced a research collaboration with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI).

8. Rekha Sharma’s term as Chairperson of the National Commission for Women has been extended for another three years.
- According to an official order, Rekha Sharma has been given a three-year extension as Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW).
- On August 7, 2018, Sharma, 57, took over as chairperson of the NCW.
9. Tunisian President Kais Saied has fired Prime Minister Beji Caid Essebsi.
- Following rallies in many towns, Tunisia’s president declared he was sacking Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi and freezing parliament in a huge escalation of political fighting in the democratic country.
- President Kais Saied announced that he would take executive power with the help of a new Prime Minister, posing the most serious threat yet to a 2014 constitution that divided powers between the president, prime minister, and parliament.
10. Vandana Kataria, a hockey player, has been named the Women and Child Development Ambassador for Uttarakhand.
- Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has named Vandana Katariya, a member of Team India’s hockey team, as the state’s Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development’s brand ambassador.
- Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, had already offered a monetary prize of Rs 25 lakh for Vandana Kataria for her outstanding achievement at the Tokyo Olympics.

- At NASSCOM’s Xperience-AI Summit, the Telangana government’s Information Technology, Electronics, and Communications (ITE&C) department got the AI Gamechanger Award.

14. Saranya Sasi, a Malayalam actress, has died.

15. No More for Indo-Pak War Hero Who Bombarded Karachi Port in 1971
- According to defence officials, Commodore Kasargod Patnashetti Gopal Rao, a 1971 war hero and Mahavir Chakra recipient, exhaled his last breath. He was 94 years old at the time.
- He was a crucial figure in the liberation of East Pakistan, which is now Bangladesh, from Pakistan. As part of Operation Cactus Lily, Rao led a small task group of the Western Fleet in an offensive off the coast of Karachi.
