1. The ‘Milk Price Incentive Scheme’ was announced by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
- Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, has launched the ‘Milk Price Incentive Scheme’ in Dehradun. The project aims to provide incentives to about 53,000 Uttarakhand residents.
- In Uttarakhand, the state government plans to invest INR 444.62 crore to open 500 milk sales centres. It is a Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) plan, which means that the money will be transferred immediately into the beneficiaries’ accounts via their linked bank accounts.
2. The wetland of Haiderpur in Uttar Pradesh has been designated as a Ramsar Site.
- The Ramsar Convention on Wetlands has recognised the Haiderpur Wetland, which is located about 10 kilometres from Bijnor in western Uttar Pradesh and abuts the Madhya Ganga barrage. There are now nine Ramsar wetlands in Uttar Pradesh.
- The wetland has been been designated as a model wetland along the Ganga by Namami Gange, a central flagship. With this, the country now has a total of 47 such recognised locations.
3. Maharashtra Retains Top Position in India Skills Report 2022
- According to the 9th edition of Wheebox’s India Skills Report (ISR) 2022, Maharashtra continues to lead the list of states with the largest poll of employable talent, followed by Uttar Pradesh and Kerala.
- ‘Rebuilding and Reengineering the Future of Work’ is the theme of ISR 2022. The India Skills Report is a comprehensive study of the future of employment, education, and skilling in order to balance the need for and supply of talent in a rapidly rising India.

4. PM Modi attends the “Summit for Democracy.”
- President Joe Biden of the United States is hosting the first of two Democracy Summits, which will take place virtually between December 9 and 10.
- India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually addressed the conference, declaring that Indians have a “democratic spirit” and a “pluralistic mentality.” This ‘Summit for Democracy’ drew a total of 100 countries.

5. The ‘Startup Innovation Challenge’ has been launched by Airtel and Invest India.
- Bharti The ‘Airtel India Startup Innovation Challenge’ was jointly established by Airtel and Invest India, the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency, seeking startups to develop solutions in 5G and IoT.
- Early-stage technology companies are encouraged to participate in the Startup Innovation Challenge to exhibit innovative solutions in areas such as 5G, Cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and digital entertainment.

6. At the Asian Youth Para Games 2021, India won 41 medals.
- At the 4th Asian Youth Para Games (AYPG), Asia’s greatest tournament, held in Riffa, Bahrain, India won 41 medals (12 gold, 15 silver, and 14 bronze). The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Bahrain is hosting the event, which has the support of the local government.
- From the 2nd to the 6th of December 2021, about 700 competitors from around 30 countries competed in the event. Tashkent, Uzbekistan, will host the 5th edition of the Asian Youth Para Games in 2025.
