1. To become India’s millet hub, Chhattisgarh has launched a “Millet Mission.”
- Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh has announced the commencement of the ‘Millet Mission,’ which aims to give farmers with a fair price for minor grain crops.
- The project is also a step toward the Chief Minister’s goal of making the state a millet hub in India.
2. Haryana has been ranked first in the installation of solar pumps under the PM-KUSUM programme.
- According to data from the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Haryana has outperformed all other states in terms of off-grid solar pump installation under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahaabhiyaan (PM-KUSUM).
- Haryana has installed 14,418 pumps out of a total of 15,000 planned for 2020-21.
3. Odisha’s harvest celebration is known as Nuakhai.
- On September 11, 2021, the agrarian festival of Western Odisha, Nuakhai Juhar, was celebrated with religious fervour and tradition.

4. The Climate Action and Finance Mobilization Dialogue between India and the United States has begun (CAFMD)
- The “Climate Action and Finance Mobilization Dialogue (CAFMD)” has been initiated by India and the United States of America (USA). It will improve bilateral climate and environmental cooperation between India and the United States.
- Shri Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and Mr. John Kerry, US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate (SPEC), started the dialogue in New Delhi.
5. Skyroot Aerospace, situated in Hyderabad, is the first Spacetech company to formally partner with ISRO.
- Skyroot Aerospace, a Hyderabad-based space technology startup, is the first private company to formally enter into an agreement with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to gain access to their facilities and expertise for the development and testing of space launch vehicle subsystems and systems.
- The Vikram series of rockets is being developed by Skyroot Aerospace to launch small satellites into space. Vikram-1, the initial launch vehicle in the series, is set to launch in 2022.

6. Justice M. Venugopal has been named as the NCLAT’s Acting Chairperson.
- With effect from September 11, 2021, Justice M. Venugopal has been appointed as the next Acting Chairperson of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
- After the retirement of permanent Chairperson Justice S. J. Mukhopadhaya on March 14, 2020, this is the third time an Acting Chairperson has led the NCLAT.
7. Morocco’s new Prime Minister, Aziz Akhannouch, has been elected.
- Morocco’s King Mohammed VI has named Aziz Akhannouch as the country’s next Prime Minister.
- In the parliament election on September 10, 2021, Akhannouch’s National Rally of Independents (RNI) party won 102 out of 395 seats.

8. Guinness World Records has recognised Cristiano Ronaldo as the highest goal scorer in international football.
- Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese footballer, has been recognised by Guinness World Records for being the all-time leading goalscorer in men’s international football.
- On September 1, 2021, the Portugal captain broke the record while playing against the Republic of Ireland in a World Cup qualifier.
9. Daniil Medvedev wins the US Open Tennis Championships in 2021.
- On September 12, 2021, Russia’s Daniil Medvedev defeated Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4, to win the US Open 2021 men’s singles final.
- Medvedev, who is 25, has won his first Grand Slam title.

10. Oscar Fernandes, a veteran Congressman and former Union minister, died at the age of 80.
- Oscar Fernandes, a former Union minister and veteran Rajya Sabha MP, has died. He was 80 years old.
- In Manmohan Singh’s UPA government, the senior Congress leader served as the Union Cabinet Minister for Transport, Road and Highways, and Labour and Employment.

- Hindi Divas, or Hindi Day, is an annual celebration in India held on September 14th to honour the popularity of Hindi as the country’s official language.
- The Constituent Assembly of India adopted Hindi written in Devanagari script as the official language of the Republic of India on this day in 1949, marking the beginning of Hindi Divas.
