1. Under the Cyber Surakshit Bharat project, MeitY organised the 26th CISO Deep Dive Training programme.
- Under the Cyber Surakshit Bharat initiative, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is hosting the 26th CISO Deep Dive Training session.
- Its goal is to provide participants with a better grasp of the evolving cyber threat landscape as well as effective cyber security practises.
2. Kumbalangi village in Kerala became India’s first hamlet without sanitary napkins.
- Governor of Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan declared Kumbalangi village (India’s first eco-friendly tourist village) in Kerala’s Ernakulam district as the country’s first sanitary napkin-free village.
- Around 5,000 menstrual cups have been delivered to women aged 18 and up as part of the Avalkayi (for her) programme coordinated by Hibi Eden, Member of Parliament (Ernakulam), and volunteers will instruct the ladies on how to use the menstrual cup and the benefits of using it.

3. For the first time, Dubai’s Infinity Bridge is accessible to traffic.
- On January 16, 2022, the iconic ‘Infinity Bridge’ in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was publicly opened to traffic for the first time.
- Its design is based on the mathematical symbol representing infinity (). It depicts Dubai’s endless and infinite ambitions.

4. First Trust Advisors and ICICI Prudential AMC have struck an agreement to launch Global FoF.
- ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company (AMC) and First Trust Advisors, a US-based firm, have struck an agreement to develop a global Fund of Funds (FoF).
- The ICICI Prudential AMC will launch a strategic metal and energy equity FoF as part of the deal. It invests in First Trust Advisors’ offshore funds.

5. The new Chairman of the Apparel Export Promotion Council is Narendra Goenka.
- A Sakthivel was replaced as chairman of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) by Narendra Kumar Goenka.
- Under the Ministry of Textiles, the AEPC is India’s official body for garment exporters. For more over two decades, Goenka has been involved with the AEPC. Before becoming chairman, he served as vice-chairman of the Indian apparel exporters’ apex body.

6. Aslan Karatsev won the men’s singles championship, and Paula Badosa won the women’s singles title at the Sydney Tennis Classic 2022.
- In tennis, Aslan Karatsev of Russia defeated Andy Murray 6-3, 6-3 in the final of the Sydney Tennis Classic, claiming his third ATP Tour title.
- Paula Badosa, the world number nine, won the women’s singles event, defeating Barbora Krejcikova 6-3 4-6 7-6(4) to win her third career title.
7. The Asian Cup for Women’s Football will be held in India in 2022.
- From January 20th to January 20th, 2022, India will host the AFC Women’s Football Asian Cup India 2022 in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Pune.
- Twelve teams will compete for the trophy in this competition. The AFC Women’s Asian Cup in India will also serve as the final stage of Asian qualification for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand.

9. Mrs. World 2022 Shaylyn Ford was crowned Mrs. America.
- Mrs World 2022 was won by Shaylyn Ford, who is 37 years old. Kate Schneider of Ireland, the outgoing queen, crowned her.
- Mrs. Jordan Jaclyn Stapp and Mrs. UAE Debanjali Kamstra came in second and third, respectively. Mrs. World has been awarded to an American representative for the eighth time.
