1. Uttarakhand has opened India’s tallest herbal park.
- On Saturday, India’s highest altitude herbal park was opened in Mana village, Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district.
- The herbal park is located at an elevation of 11,000 feet near the Indo-China border. Mana is the last Indian town in Chamoli, on the Chinese border, and is close to Badrinath shrine.
2. NTPC has completed India’s largest floating solar PV project in Andhra Pradesh.
- On the reservoir of its Simhadri thermal station in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, NTPC has commissioned India’s largest floating solar PV project, with a capacity of 25MW.
- The Flexibilisation Scheme is also being used for the first time to build up a solar installation. The Government of India announced this scheme in 2018.
3. India’s first e-vehicle friendly highway is the Delhi-Chandigarh Highway.
- The Delhi-Chandigarh Roadway has been designated as India’s first e-vehicle friendly highway.
- On August 19, 2021, Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Union Heavy Industries Minister, opened India’s first Solar Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station at the Karnal Lake Resort.
4. Maharaja Agrasen International Airport has been renamed at Hisar Airport in Haryana.
- Manohar Lal Khattar, the Chief Minister of Haryana, has declared that the Hisar Airport will be renamed Maharaja Agrasen International Airport.
- Hisar Airport is a domestic airport and the state’s first DGCA-approved public aerodrome.

5. The World Bank has announced the creation of a new multi-donor trust fund for cyber security.
- The World Bank has established a new ‘Cybersecurity Multi-Donor Trust Fund’ in order to more effectively implement the cybersecurity development agenda.
- The new fund was created as an associated trust fund under the umbrella initiative of the Digital Development Partnership (DDP).

6. BPCL introduces ‘URJA,’ an AI-enabled chatbot.
- Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has introduced an AI-enabled chatbot named Urja to give its consumers with a platform for seamless self-service and speedier resolution of queries/issues (after a pilot test).
- URJA is India’s first chatbot for the oil and gas industry.

7. T M Bhasin has been re-appointed as Chairman of the Advisory Board for Banking Frauds by the CVC.
- For the next three years, Shanti Lal Jain will serve as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indian Bank. Ms. Padmaja Chunduru, the current MD and CEO of Indian Bank, will be replaced by him.
- Shanti Lal Jain is the Executive Director (ED) of Bank of Baroda at the moment. After September 1, 2021, he will assume command.
8. Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has been appointed.
- Malaysia’s next Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri Yaakob, has been named. He formerly served as Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister.
- He will take over as Prime Minister from Muhyiddin Yassin, who resigned after losing a majority in the lower chamber of parliament.

9. Kalyan Singh, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, has died.
- Kalyan Singh, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, died at the age of 89 from multiple organ failure.
- He was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh twice, including during the demolition of the Babri Masjid.
