OUAT Entrance Exam 2023 application form- A online registration closed on May 9, 2023. The last date for submission of online fee for OUAT Entrance exam 2023 was May 10, 2023. OUAT entrance exam 2023 Admit cards will be released ten days before the scheduled date of OUAT entrance examination 2023. The Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) UG examination process for the session 2023-24 was released on April 6 via online mode on the official website. Candidates were be able to fill the OUAT Entrance Exam 2023 application form- A for a diploma in Agro-polytechnic and passout students of OUAT seeking admission in UG courses for 2023-2024 by visiting the official website.
OUAT entrance exam 2023 is scheduled to be held on June 22 and June 23, 2023. OUAT 2023 exam will be conducted as a Computer Based Test in around 26 centres across the country. The OUAT UG 2023 exam will have three sections of 200 marks in total. It is in the interest of the candidate to attempt all sections. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours. OUAT entrance exam 2023 availability of students’ response sheet on website and candidates’ challenge will be displayed on tentative dates, which are from July 5, 2023 to July 7, 2023. What is OUAT Entrance Exam?
OUAT entrance exam is conducted by Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) to offer admission to aspirants in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. The official website informs: “The University offers education at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Fishery Science, Home Science & Forestry in the semester system. Research and Extension programmes are carried out at the Regional Research & Technology Transfer Station (RRTTS) and/or Sub-stations/Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) located in different parts of the state”.

OUAT Entrance Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The minimum education qualification to pursue a BSc course at Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology states that aspirants should have pursued their Class 11 and Class 12 with Science and secured a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks including extra optional. For candidates who have applied for admission under SC/ST/PH category need to have secured a minimum of 40 percent marks in their qualifying exam.
Apart from the above, aspirants need to have studied the below-mentioned subjects in order to be eligible for OUAT admissions 2023:

Note: Candidates who seek admission in “BSc (Ag.)/BSc (Hort.)/BSc (Forestry)/BSc (Home Science) without having Mathematics or Biology at the +2 level will have to make up their deficiency by taking pre-requisite courses in the subject (Mathematics/Biology) to be offered during the first two semesters”, informs the official website.
Additional OUAT entrance exam BSc eligibility criteria that aspirants need to fulfil in order to secure admission is as mentioned below:
- Cleared HSC or equivalent examination with Odia as MIL.
- Candidates who do not have Odia as MIL but their parents are permanent residents of Odisha need to furnish evidence of permanent residency in the form of a certificate from the Revenue Officer concerned not below the rank of Tahasildar/District Magistrate/their employer concerned.
- Candidates who do not have Odia as MIL and their parents are also not permanent residents of Odisha but are serving under the Govt. of Odisha/Central Govt. /Public Undertaking or any University in the State of Odisha. Such aspirants must furnish a certificate confirming the same from the Head of the Office/Institution where their parent(s) is/are working.
- Odia students permanently residing outside Odisha must furnish a certificate confirming their Odisha origin either from their Employer/Tahasildar/District Magistrate (of the District in which they are residing). The certificate can also be submitted from the Tahasildar/ District Magistrate of their native place Odisha.
The above criteria (that is point 2 and 4) do not apply to ICAR/VCI nominees/Foreign Candidates/State Govt. sponsored candidates/children of employees of OUAT.
Age Limit: Candidates must be 17 years of age as of December 31, 2023 (that is, born on or before December 31, 2004).

For UG course admission, the OUAT entrance exam test paper would be 200 marks. The medium of instruction in the exam is English and the duration is two hours. OUAT entrance exam for admission in PG and PhD courses consists of objective type as well as short answer type questions. OUAT Entrance Exam 2023 Admission Process
Aspirants need to follow the below-mentioned steps as part of the OUAT admission process
Step 1: Fill OUAT Entrance Exam Application Form
Aspirants needed to fill OUAT entrance exam 2023 application form on the official website of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology. At the time of submission of online application Form-A, candidates had to fill in the particulars such as correct personal information, e-mail id, mobile number, choice of centre, self-declaration etc and upload his/her recent passport size colour photograph (Height: 200px, width: 150px, file size: 200kb maximum), full signature (Height: 100px, width: 150px, file size: 200kb maximum) in jpg/jpeg format. After submission of online application Form-A, an application number was generated and sent to his/her mobile number & e-mail). Candidates could pay the OUAT entrance exam application fee for UG course admissions online through Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI.
Step 2: Get OUAT Exam Admit Card
Aspirants applying for UG course admissions can download their OUAT entrance exam 2023 admit card from the official website of the university. The admit card for the OUAT entrance exam 2023 contains the candidate’s name, course for which they applied, centre allotted, date and time of entrance exam, roll number, photograph and signature. It is a mandatory document that has to be carried to the exam centre.
Step 3: Take OUAT Entrance Exam
In order to be eligible for admission in UG programmes offered at OUAT, candidates had to take the entrance exam which is two hours duration. However, aspirants seeking admission in BSc (Forestry) Course should qualify for Physical Endurance Test to be conducted one day before their respective day of the counselling of each category, failing which their candidature for admission into BSc (Forestry) course will not be considered”, informs the official website. OUAT entrance exam 2023 for MSc and PhD course admissions is of two hours and the maximum score an aspirant can have in it is 100 marks. Candidates need to appear for the OUAT entrance exam as per the date, time and venue mentioned on their admit card. Candidates who are seeking admission in PhD programmes at OUAT also need to appear for the viva-voce admission round.
Step 4: Check OUAT Result
Aspirants need to visit the official website to view the OUAT entrance exam 2023 result. The result for OUAT admissions can be viewed by filling in roll number/application number/Aadhaar number, mobile number and date of birth on the official website of the exam.
Step 5: Appear for Counselling
Candidates who make it to the OUAT merit list need to appear for the counselling round as per the date and time mentioned on their OUAT intimation-cum-rank card. Candidates can download the intimation-cum-rank card of their OUAT entrance exam 2023 from the official website of the exam by providing their OUAT roll number, mobile number and date of birth.
