A: The SSC CGL 2020-21 notification has been released on the official website on December 29, 2020.
Q: When will SSC CGL 2021 exam be conducted?
A: The SSC CGL 2021 exam for tier-I will be conducted from May 29 to June 7.
Q: Is the SSC CGL exam held in online mode?
A: The first two tiers of the CGL exam are held in online mode and the next two tiers of the exam are conducted in offline mode.
Q: How many stages does the SSC CGL exam contain?
A: SSC CGL exam contains four stages – Tier-I (online exam), Tier-II (online exam), Tier-III (offline exam), and Tier-IV (computer proficiency test/skill test/document verification).
Q: What is the application fee for the SSC CGL exam?
A: The SSC CGL application fee is Rs 100. However, women candidates of all categories and reserved category candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
Q: Is it mandatory to appear for all the tiers of the SSC CGL exam?
A: Yes, candidates need to appear for all the tiers of SSC CGL in order to qualify for the exam.
Q: Is there any negative marking in the SSC CGL exam?
A: Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks in tier-I, tier-III, and tier-IV papers. Also, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the tier-II paper of the CGL exam.
Q: What is the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the exam?
A: Candidates should be graduates from a recognized university in order to be eligible for the SSC CGL exam.
Q: How many SSC CGL vacancies are released every year?
A: SSC CGL exam is conducted for about 10,000 vacancies every year. For SSC CGL 2019-20 exam, a total of 9,488 vacancies has been released by the commission.

A: SSC CGL exam is conducted for various Group-B and -C posts available in different ministries/departments/organizations of the Government of India.
Q: How many times is SSC CGL conducted in a year?
A: Each stage (tier-I, II, III, and IV) of the SSC CGL exam is conducted once a year.

A: SSC CGL age limit differs as per the post applied. However, candidates should be minimum of 18 years of age to apply for any SSC CGL post.
