A. Yes, SSC conducts the SSC Stenographer exam every year.
Q. What is the work of the SSC Stenographer?
A. The job responsibility of SSC Stenographer in various ministries or departments is speech writing, press conference briefings, helping in public relations, etc.
Q. How to fill the SSC Stenographer application form 2020-21?
A. The application form has to be filled online. The steps include registration, uploading of the image, filling the detailed application form, and fee payment.
Q. What are the application fees?
A. For General/ OBC/ EWS candidates, the application fee is Rs 100. The application fee is exempted for SC/ ST/ PwD/ Ex-servicemen and Female candidates.
Q. When the admit card is released?
A. SSC Stenographer admits card is released two weeks before the exam. The admit card will be available online on the official website. Candidates can download SSC Stenographer 2020 admit card by logging in with the required credentials.
Q. Can I change SSC Stenographer exam centers?
A. The exam centers cannot be changed after the final submission of the application form.
Q. What is the exam pattern of SSC Stenographer?
A. The computer-based test as per SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern comprises three sections: General English and Intelligence, General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. The test paper comprises 200 objective type questions that candidates need to complete within 2 hours. The test carries a total of 200 marks.
Q. Are there any negative marks in the exam?
A. Yes, there are negative marks on the exam. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
Q. What is the standard of the syllabus?
A. SSc Stenographer Syllabus comprises the topics that candidates have studied in their class 10 and 12 standards.

A. Candidates qualifying for the computer-based test are called for the skill test in stenography. Those who qualify the skill test are called for document verification.
